🗺 Meliá Hotels International and Bankinter Investment will jointly own the Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote for 10 years, following a strategic acquisition aimed at expanding Meliá's luxury portfolio in the Canary Islands. The repositioning of the hotel, supported by an investment of over €125 million, enhances its alignment with Paradisus brand standards. Meliá now holds a 53.75% stake, reflecting confidence in Lanzarote's potential as a premium, year-round destination. This move follows Meliá's recovery to pre-pandemic debt ratios.

💰 Peachtree Group launched a $250 million Special Situations Fund targeting mispriced, high-quality hotel and commercial real estate assets, amid $1 trillion in loans maturing by 2025. Focused on the U.S., particularly Texas, Florida, and California, Peachtree aims to address refinancing challenges with creative capital solutions. They anticipate a 60-90 day first close, completing within 18 months. Strategies include off-market acquisitions, preferred equity, and distressed purchases from lenders.

📍 JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group facilitated the sale of the Clarion Hotel Airport, a 149-room hotel in Portland, Maine. Originally opened in 1974, the hotel features 7,000 square feet of meeting space and amenities like a restaurant, shuttle service, pool, fitness, and business centers. It offers easy access to I-295 and Portland International Jetport. The hotel will be managed by Jamsan Hotel Management. Alan Suzuki led the JLL team in this transaction.

🏨 In July 2025, Access Point Financial provided a $55 million floating-rate loan to H&S Properties Development Corp. to refinance a four-hotel portfolio in Maryland, including the Courtyard Aberdeen/Residence Inn and Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites in Baltimore. The loan features a four-year term with a one-year extension, aimed at refinancing debt and funding a PIP. The Aberdeen hotels are near Ripken Stadium, while the Baltimore hotels are close to the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards.

💸 $3.5 million sale of Sleep Inn Sumter, a 63-room hotel, took place in Sumter, South Carolina. Marcus & Millichap's team, including Terrence Jefferson, Jack Davis, Eric Webster, and Joce Messinger, marketed it for a local owner. The buyer was from North Carolina. The hotel offers amenities like a swimming pool, business and fitness centers, and is located near Interstates 20 and 95, Shaw Air Force Base, and Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

🌎 TravCorp Holdings Ltd has acquired Specialist Holidays Group from Travelopia, adding Citalia, American Holidays, and Sovereign Luxury Travel to its portfolio. Led by Helen Adamson, who remains as Managing Director, this acquisition is backed by BGF and aims to enhance TravCorp's growth strategy under CEO Andy Freeth and Chair Andrew Botterill. The acquisition strengthens TravCorp's reputation for customer-centered service and destination knowledge.

💰 JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group announced a $5.6 million sale of the Grand Eastonian Hotel & Suites in Easton, Pennsylvania. The 50-room hotel was sold by Nature Nurture Foundation, a nonprofit, to CanalHouse Hospitality Enterprises LLC. Originally opened in 1927 and renovated post-2000, the hotel features a heated indoor saltwater pool, fitness center, and meeting space. Located near Lafayette College and Crayola Experience, it's positioned for growth in Easton's revitalized downtown area.
