🏨 Irvine, California—DKN Hotels acquired the Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Sorrento Mesa/Sorrento Valley in San Diego. Renovations, planned with PK Architects, Gensler, and MJS Landscaping, will begin in Q2 2026. The 150-suite hotel is 20 minutes from downtown San Diego and 16 miles from San Diego International Airport. Amenities include an outdoor pool, 24/7 fitness center, 698 sq ft of meeting space, and a complimentary breakfast buffet.

🏨 Sukhi Gidar, CEO of Gold Care Homes, is acquiring the 382-room Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor with an £18.2m loan from OakNorth. Located between Heathrow Airport and Windsor, this hotel caters to corporate and leisure guests with modern amenities, including 19 event rooms for up to 400. The property was recently refurbished, and strong 2025 passenger forecasts at Heathrow Airport are expected to boost demand for accommodations in the area.

🏨 Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow retained its five-star AA status, scoring 93% in a recent inspection. The hotel, featuring 113 rooms and a renovated penthouse, maintains high culinary standards at Iasg, which sources local ingredients. The spa underwent major refurbishment in 2023, introducing features like a Himalayan salt room. A significant sum upgraded the air conditioning. General Manager Marcello Ventisei and Chef Sean Currie emphasize ongoing investments and commitment to excellence.

🏨 Norwood House, a guest house in Ambleside, Cumbria, was sold for £740k after being owned by Keith and Wendy Morgan since 1996. The 8-bedroom property includes guest facilities and a 2-bedroom apartment. After a 2-year search, business agent Graham Wilkinson from Christie and Co facilitated the sale. Local solicitors, Stuart Bailey and Terri Abbot, managed the legal process. The Morgans are retiring after nearly 30 years of hospitality.

🏨 Ledgestone Hospitality, in December 2025, expanded its management with six Sonesta hotels in Arizona and Nevada, adding 791 rooms to its portfolio. The properties are located in Scottsdale, Chandler, Flagstaff, and two in Tempe, Arizona. This expands Ledgestone's presence in high-demand areas and increases its managed hotels to 52 across the U.S. The management transition is underway to enhance guest experience and optimize performance.

🏨 Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) has acquired a Travelodge-leased hotel in Stafford, UK, marking its first UK acquisition. Located in the West Midlands, the hotel has 18 years remaining on its lease. This expands REIM's pan-European portfolio, which spans four countries and five sectors, maintaining full occupancy with a weighted average unexpired lease term of about 14 years. Edmond de Rothschild REIM manages €13.6 billion (£11.8 billion) across eight European offices.

🏖️ Harrison Leisure acquired Ardlui Resort on Loch Lomond for over £7 million, adding to its UK portfolio of 11 parks. The acquisition, following Crofthead Holiday Park in January 2025, aims to expand its market presence. Ardlui Resort, in the same family since 1978, includes a 96-pitch park, a 12-bedroom hotel, and a 100-berth marina. The sale was managed by Colliers, with plans for modernisation under Harrison Leisure's ownership.

Schulz founders Nizar Rokbani, Oskar Kan, and Sascha Gechter join a&o's management. Founded in 2000, a&o operates 30,000 beds across Europe, hosting 2.8 million guests in 2024. In H1 2025, they recorded 1.4 million guests and an occupancy rate of 73%. Proprium Capital Partners and StepStone Group sponsored this acquisition. European Hostels Market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.8% from 2025 to 2030.

🏨 Raines and Vantage Realty Partners acquired the historic Rose Hill Estate in downtown Aiken, aiming to transform it into a boutique hotel by late 2027. The estate, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974, was initially bought by the Phelps family in 1898. Designed by J.F. Leitner, it features Shingle Style architecture. The project involves collaboration with Verity Works and includes partnerships with the Aiken Center for the Arts and the Historic Aiken Foundation.
