🏨 LQ Resorts has acquired Parkway Hotel and Spa in Cwmbran with a seven-figure loan from Development Bank of Wales. The 80-room hotel spans over seven acres and funding came from the Wales Tourism Investment Fund, which provides loans of £100,000 to £5m. LQ Resorts plans immediate upgrades, including gym equipment and bar refurbishments. 🏨 ECE Work and Live acquired two Staybridge Suites hotels in Liverpool and Newcastle, UK, as part of its strategy to expand into regional cities. The transaction marks the first step towards building a portfolio of seven to eight hotels, with an investment of up to £150 million. The Liverpool hotel, opened in 2008, has 132 rooms; Newcastle's, opened in 2009, has 128 rooms. Cycas Hospitality manages both properties. Maya Capital sourced and manages the assets.

💸 JLL's Hotels & Hospitality Group arranged $167.7 million refinancing for a 15-property WoodSpring Suites portfolio in Michigan, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida. The loan includes $117.7 million initially, with a $50 million earn-out potential. Properties, totaling 1,829 keys, opened in the last 2-5 years. Whitman Peterson and Concord Hospitality lead the sponsorship. With extended-stay demand projected to grow by 5% annually, these assets are strategically positioned near key infrastructure and amenities.

🏠 Emerson Hospitality is redeveloping Black Creek Barns, a 153-acre estate in Esopus, NY, into a 70-room resort, opening in late 2027. Located 90 miles north of NYC near Poughkeepsie, it features historic structures, a 7,000 sq ft event hall, and a 9,000 sq ft craft center. Supported by $38 million in financing from IPA, The LCP Group, and Imperial Ridge, the project emphasizes sustainability with C-PACE financing.
