New update brings upsells, rental agreements, deposits, and ID verification into one customizable polished interface

SAN FRANCISCO, 24 of July 2025 – Property management software Hospitable has unveiled a major upgrade to its Guest Portal, giving hosts and property managers a fully branded way to automate upsells, security deposits, rental agreements, and guest verification, all in one intuitive experience.

The update transforms the guest journey into a more cohesive, professional experience while giving hosts greater control, reducing manual work, and helping drive more bookings.

Redesigned to serve as the guest’s first digital touchpoint, Hospitable’s Guest Portal now offers custom branding, smart automation, and an intuitive interface. Hosts can personalize the portal with their own logo, colors, and even a custom domain (e.g., guestyourbrand.com), ensuring guests have a consistent, high-quality experience across Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, iCal, and direct bookings.

Hosts can unlock new revenue by offering personalized upsell options, such as early check-ins, late checkouts, movie night bundles, firewood, local excursions, and more directly through all major booking channels. Using Hospitable’s ‘smart code’, the platform’s AI inserts tailored offers into guest messages via the Guest Portal link. Hosts can fully customize each upsell with their own photos, pricing, and descriptions to reflect their brand.

In addition to upsells, the new update streamlines security deposit handling directly through the Guest Portal. Deposits are now automatically collected two days before check-in and released two days after checkout. This system ensures that funds are secured before check-in instructions are shared with guests, while automated reminders and confirmations keep the process on track. Each deposit is protected with included ID verification and chargeback protection, providing hosts with added confidence and coverage.

Rental agreements have also been enhanced and are now fully integrated into the guest experience. Hosts can collect essential guest details, such as phone and license plate numbers, through customizable fillable fields. Optional ID verification can be added to agreements for just $2 per reservation, allowing hosts to introduce an additional layer of screening where needed.

Hosts can also tailor reminders, set listing-specific requirements, and automatically block check-in instructions until agreements are completed, ensuring compliance without extra follow-up.

Pierre‑Camille  Hamana, CEO  and  Founder of Hospitable said: “Hospitality doesn’t begin at the front door, it starts when a guest books. The new Guest Portal brings together everything hosts need to deliver a professional, branded experience from start to finish. It’s about letting the tech handle the details, from upsells to deposits, so that hosts can focus on what truly sets them apart: the unique guest experience.”

Launched in 2016 as a time-saving PMS, Hospitable has evolved into a short-term rental super app that goes beyond traditional property management – automating guest messaging with AI, optimizing nightly rates, managing rental agreements and security deposits, coordinating teams, and powering direct booking websites with built-in payments and property protection.
