Nomad Stays Launches StayDirect, Sending Digital Nomads to Book Directly with Property Owners

Chambéry, France – 17 December 2025

Nomad Stays, the global accommodation startup for digital nomads and remote workers, has launched StayDirect, a new feature that refers guests from Nomad Stays directly to a property’s own booking system.

Instead of handling the full reservation on the Nomad Stays platform, StayDirect enables properties to receive high-intent traffic from digital nomads and then complete the booking on their own website or booking engine. This gives property owners more control over communication and guest relationships, while still benefiting from Nomad Stays’ global distribution as a specialist digital nomad platform.

“Many property owners want access to the digital nomad market without giving up control of their own booking systems,” said Founder of Nomad Stays, Mark Phillips. “StayDirect does exactly that: we showcase great nomad-ready stays and offers to thousands of digital nomads each day, then forward prospective guests straight to the property’s own booking channels.”

How StayDirect works for property owners

• Qualified nomad traffic

Nomad Stays markets short- and medium-term rental offers to digital nomads and remote workers, then refers guests ready to book directly to the property’s own booking page.

• Direct relationship with guests

Property owners still manage pricing, booking rules, and policies with Nomad Stays, but can now communicate pre-sales directly with the guest through their own booking system or website, maintaining full control of the guest relationship.

• No need to adopt new systems

Owners keep their existing booking tools and workflows. StayDirect simply connects nomad demand with the property’s current online booking setup.

• Flexible for different property types

Works for coliving spaces, hotels, serviced apartments, boats, retreats and other long-stay-friendly accommodations that want to attract remote workers.

• Ready for AI travel agents

StayDirect helps properties increase visibility as AI Agents increasingly scan and interpret accommodation information across the web, ensuring a host’s product pages can be accurately found and understood.

• Reduced platform reporting obligations

Because bookings are completed directly on the property’s own system, StayDirect does not trigger DAC7 or platform-based tax reporting requirements. Property owners retain full control of their own compliance processes, just as they do with any direct booking from their website.

Benefits to the digital nomad market

For digital nomads, StayDirect expands the range of nomad-ready properties available on Nomad Stays by allowing more hosts — including those who prefer to manage bookings on their own systems — to join the platform. This means travellers gain access to a wider selection of curated stays, all meeting the same nomad-friendly standards around workspaces, Wi-Fi, and longer-stay suitability.

Whether a property uses StayDirect or the traditional agency-style model, all hosts on Nomad Stays benefit from the same alignment with nomad needs, and travellers enjoy the same consistent discovery experience. StayDirect simply adds another pathway for properties to participate, increasing choice without changing the core value nomads rely on.
