🏨 In 2023, easyHotel planned to double its size with a new shareholder, Tristan Capital Partners. By 2024, their revenue structure reversed: two-thirds now come from outside the UK. Recent openings include Madrid, with Barcelona and Valencia to follow. easyHotel focuses on budget essentials, minimizing unnecessary services. Operating in 11 countries, they aim to expand in Spain, Portugal, and others. The brand is enhancing sustainability, reducing CO₂ emissions by 39% over 50 years, investing €7 million in modernization.

Global Hotel Alliance Aims for 1,000 Member Hotels in the Discovery Program

📈 2024, global hotel CEOs from 35 out of 45 chains met in Brussels. The Global Hotel Alliance, inspired by airline models, boasts 35 million Discovery program members. In 2024, this generated $2.7 billion from 11 million room nights. An 11% room night increase and 15% revenue rise marked 2025's first quarter. The Green Collection includes 52% of properties, boosting bookings by 10-20%. Goals: 1,000 hotels globally and $3 billion revenue in 2025.

Third time’s a charm for Yooma Urban Lodge in London

🏠 Pierre Beckerich's Euragone and Jean-Baptiste Pracca's Mata Capital formed Yoomata Aldgate Property Ltd, acquiring London's Challenger House, home to the 180-room Corner Hotel, for nearly €50 million. The site will transform into Yooma Urban Lodge London, featuring diverse room types and immersive activities. This marks the third Yooma concept, following Paris (2017) and Brussels. The transformation leverages an adjacent vacant site, enhancing hospitality with activities like cookery classes and arcade games.

SBM’s transformation reflected in the results of its latest financial year

🏠 Société des Bains de Mer (S.B.M) reported record revenue of €768 million for the 2024–2025 fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, a 9% increase. Hotel division revenue rose by 16% to nearly €400 million. Food and beverage activities grew by 24%, while the rental sector saw an 11% increase to nearly €150 million. Despite more visitors, gaming revenue declined by 3%. The group’s net income exceeded €110 million, with operating income reaching €74.5 million.
