🏨 The former Cambria Hotel Washington D.C. Convention Center reopens as Hyatt House Washington DC Downtown Convention Center. This 184-room hotel at 899 O Street NW, near the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, is developed by Frontier Development & Hospitality Group with Basis Investment Group and operated by Donohoe Hospitality. A 157-seat rooftop bar with 360-degree views will open in the fall. The hotel is part of the World of Hyatt loyalty program.

🏨 Dorint Hotelgroup is launching a significant project in Vienna, Austria, marking its return after nearly two decades. The 35-storey Dorint Hotel Weitblick, located in the “Viertel Zwei” district, will offer 298 rooms, including 28 long-stay options. Scheduled for 2028, it features sustainable architecture with zero-CO2 energy. Positioned between Messe Wien and Ernst-Happel-Stadion, this expansion strengthens Dorint's presence in the DACH region, complementing existing hotels in Salzburg and Kitzbühel.

🏖 Club Med and REAM SGR are developing a bi-seasonal resort in San Sicario Alto, Piedmont. The resort provides access to Vialattea's 400 km of ski slopes, creating over 500 jobs. This expansion aligns with Club Med's strategy to strengthen its Alpine presence, complementing its 14 existing Alpine destinations. The resort will offer year-round activities for families, with a focus on relaxation and adventure, contributing significantly to the local economy.

📆 Minor Hotels aims to expand its portfolio to 850 properties by 2027. New luxury and select-segment brands include The Wolseley Hotels, Minor Reserve Collection, Colbert Collection, and iStay Hotels. These brands cater to diverse traveler needs, from luxury experiences to affordability. The initiative follows the March 2025 launch of Minor Hotels' masterbrand, aligning with their strategic growth plan. Chief Commercial Officer Ian Di Tullio emphasized these brands will enhance market presence and meet evolving travel demands.

🏨 Hilton is expanding in Türkiye, adding eight new properties in 2023, including diverse locations such as Istanbul, Izmir, Edirne, and Mersin. Notable openings: Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia (36 rooms, late 2025), Palazzo Donizetti in Istanbul (79 rooms, autumn 2025), and Hotel Konak Izmir (92 rooms, July 2026). The Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus is undergoing an $80 million renovation. These expansions highlight Hilton's strategic focus on both urban centers and emerging destinations.

🏨 Mama Shelter Zurich, the group's 19th hotel, opens in Switzerland’s Oerlikon district, offering a fusion of hotel and living space. Inspired by Swiss culture and landscapes, the interior features warm materials and bright colors. The hotel includes versatile spaces for work and leisure, from 16 to 260 square meters. Dining highlights include Mama's Restaurant with wood-fired pizzas and Mama's Garden rooftop. This opening follows Mama Shelter Dubai and precedes Toulon and a Paris location.
