🏨 Drury Hotels began construction on the first Nebraska property, the Drury Plaza Hotel Lincoln Downtown, located at 920 Q Street, Lincoln, near the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The 210-room hotel, opening in February 2026, offers 2,400+ square feet of meeting space for up to 288 people. The hotel features a guest market, business and fitness centers, indoor pool and spa, and free Wi-Fi, with bookings starting February 2026. Drury plans to hire around 55 staff members and will extend its presence to 28 states.

🍽 SINO, a Ukrainian-inspired restaurant by Polina Sychova and chef Eugene Korolev, opens in Notting Hill on May 21, 2025. The menu features reimagined Ukrainian dishes using British and Ukrainian ingredients, with starters like Hay infused wild mushroom broth and mains such as Cherry glazed BBQ catfish. The 52-cover venue includes a 30-cover main room and 10-cover PDR. Polina designed the interior with Ukrainian motifs, and Eugene, a former Bocuse D’Or Ukraine president and Ukrainian special forces member, leads a Ukrainian chef brigade. 🏨 Zleep Hotels debuts in Germany with Zleep Hotel Frankfurt Airport Kelsterbach, marking the Danish brand's expansion milestone. Located near Frankfurt am Main International Airport, the hotel offers 175 rooms with Scandinavian-inspired design, modern amenities, and is suitable for business, leisure travelers, and flight crews. Services include a free airport shuttle, nearby train station access, a meeting place lobby with a snack bar, a lounge, a fitness room, and on-site parking. Zleep Hotels plans further European expansion, focusing on the franchise segment and leveraging its H Rewards loyalty program partnership.

🏨 Jumeirah, a luxury brand, plans to open three Dubai developments: Jumeirah Asora Bay (completion in 2029), a hotel/residential complex in La Mer South, and Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers in the business district. Jumeirah Asora Bay will offer 103 hotel rooms, 20 villas, and 29 residences, while Jumeirah Residences will have 754 units. This expansion is part of Jumeirah’s Mission 2030 to double its portfolio, with a diversified offering including Jumeirah Icons, Privé, Hotels & Resorts, and Residences.

🏨 Dalata Hotel Group, in partnership with Grupo Insur, will open a 243-room Clayton Hotel in Madrid's Valdebebas district, near Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, in Q1 2029. The hotel will feature amenities like a restaurant, bar, and fitness center, and aims for LEED Gold certification. It's part of Madrid's urban expansion, close to attractions like IFEMA (4 million annual visitors) and Real Madrid City, and anticipates benefits from events like the F1 Spanish Grand Prix starting 2026. Dalata will operate the hotel on a 15-year lease with extension options, with rent based on revenue after the first three years.

🏨 OYO is expanding its Sunday brand in the UK, signing leases for six former Mercure hotels in Cardiff, Warwick, Dorking, Staines, Exeter, and Winchester. These will be refurbished and rebranded. The company expects to host approximately 65,000 international guests annually, with over 30% being overseas visitors. This expansion complements OYO’s existing Lansbury Heritage hotel in London and its presence in Asia and the Middle East.

🍴 Chef Ton is set to open "Sood", a restaurant in Penang, aiming to become a culinary hub with local and international chef collaborations. Penang's status as a luxury and lifestyle destination with rich heritage enhances this vision. Additionally, Chef Ton plans to launch "As I Am", a new restaurant and bar concept in Kuala Lumpur in a few months, promising affordable yet delicious dining. 🏝 Wyndham Hotels & Resorts launched La Quinta by Wyndham in Batumi, Georgia, contributing to the area's tourism growth. In 2024, Georgia saw 7.4 million international visitors, a 4.2% increase from the previous year. The Batumi hotel, near the beach and airport, features 98 rooms, fitness and wellness centers, a restaurant, and a bar. Wyndham now operates seven hotels across five brands in Georgia, with La Quinta's global presence exceeding 900 hotels.
