🏨 Studio Aluc transformed a 100-year-old machiya into Nazuna Kyoto Higashihonganji, a 600-square-metre hotel in central Kyoto, preserving original architecture. It features 7 guest rooms, a dining room, and a lounge. Renovation emphasizes traditional Japanese aesthetics with shoji doors, tatami mats, and hinoki cypress bathtubs. Communal spaces were opened with tsuboniwa courtyards and glass panels, enhancing natural light. The design is inspired by the "beauty of shadows" concept, promoting tranquility.

🏨 Elysian Real Estate Group will open bohème, a boutique hotel, in East Austin by summer 2026 at 400 Comal St. The hotel will have 20 rooms, including 14 standard rooms and six unique suites. Originally a sustainable apartment building, it’s redeveloped with Baldridge Architects. Amenities include a rooftop bar and a first-floor grocer. Each suite reflects Austin’s culture, like The Outlaw and The Muse. The project celebrates Austin’s art, music, and innovation.

🏝️ Equinox Hotels is expanding to the Caribbean with Equinox Resort Anguilla Port Nimara, at Anguilla's South West End. The resort features 62 rooms, 18 oceanfront villas, 18 upland villas, and 35 branded residences. Developed by South West Harbour Inc., it includes a 118-berth marina for vessels up to 240 feet. Amenities include an Equinox Club, spa, and luxury shopping. Christie’s International handles sales, and RCP Finance structured the partnership. Equinox emphasizes luxury and high-performance living.

🏨 Crestline Hotels & Resorts will manage the Hoya Hotel at Georgetown, set to open in summer 2026 on the Hilltop campus in Washington, D.C. The project includes 146 guest rooms and 13,000 square feet of event space. The hotel marks a return of on-campus lodging after four decades. Crestline, with over 20 years of experience in university hotels, aims to blend hospitality with academic needs, having managed properties at Georgia Tech and Emory University.

📍 Noble Investment Group has opened the Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown Little Italy after a complete renovation. The 334-room hotel, located in San Diego's Little Italy, features over 10,000 sq. ft. of event space, a Skydeck pool, and the Orexi restaurant. Little Italy grants easy access to local attractions. San Diego's diverse demand sources, including conventions and the military, boost the hospitality sector. Noble sees this investment as a long-term strategic move.

🏨 Hyatt Regency Austin completed a property-wide renovation in November 2025, adding 2 guestrooms, 3 dining concepts, and revamping 448 rooms. The $ renovation began in April 2025 and featured new design elements by Ealain Studios. Dining options include Ripple & Roots, Cypress Grove, and Juniper Breeze Market, with flavors highlighting local traditions. Updated meeting venues offer modern amenities and views of Lady Bird Lake, with sustainable, locally sourced ingredients central to the dining experience.

📍 Canadian studio Ste Marie designed three unique venues at Citizen on Jasper, Edmonton, each offering distinct experiences: Va Caffè as a daytime cafe, Olia as a fine-dining Italian restaurant, and Mimi as a lounge for DJ sets and live jazz. The project aims to transform the building’s street-level areas into cultural hubs. This 2025 Dezeen Awards Restaurant Interior finalist exemplifies how design can enhance urban development and community engagement.

🏨 Imperial Hotel's new property opens in Kyoto’s Gion district on 5 March 2026, the first in three decades. Reservations started on 17 November. Located in Yasaka Kaikan, a 90-year-old cultural property, it offers 55 rooms across three areas. Suite sizes range from premier rooms of 538–764 sq ft to signature suites of 1,022–1,377 sq ft. Facilities include restaurants, a bar, a spa, a pool, and a gym. The hotel joined the Leading Hotels of the World in April 2025.

🏨 Mandarin Oriental, Jeddah, scheduled for a 2030 opening, will feature a hotel and residences at Jeddah Central on the Red Sea. Designed by KPF, it includes 140 guestrooms, 115 apartments, and 187 residences. Amenities: five dining venues, entertainment, spa, and event spaces. Collaborators include Jeddah Central Development Company. Jeddah, a hub with six million annual visitors, aims to enhance its global business and cultural appeal with this development.
