Hyatt reorganises its management to support global growth

🏨 Hyatt Hotels Corporation restructures senior management for a brand-led approach. Marc Jacheet is appointed Group President for Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME), starting 1 July 2025. Javier Águila becomes Chief Growth Officer on the same date, following his leadership in the EAME region's expansion since 2022 and recent appointment as President of the Inclusive Collection from 1 March 2025. Jim Chu, Chief Growth Officer since 2022, will transition to Head of Owner Relations on 1 July 2025, focusing on strengthening growth through owner and investor relations. Hyatt aims to structure development around five brand categories and capitalize on experienced leadership for accelerated growth.

AHLA Foundation Names Kevin Carey President and CEO

🔔 The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) appointed Kevin Carey as president and CEO of the AHLA Foundation, effective immediately. Carey, also the COO of AHLA, replaces Anna Blue, who announced her departure in February. Under former leadership, the Foundation saw growth and the ForWard program's expansion. Recently, the Foundation's fundraiser, Night of A Thousand Stars, raised over $1,000,000 with more than 400 industry leaders attending. Carey's background includes over 25 years at American Express and a current role on the Industry Advisory Board for the Penn State School of Hospitality Management.
