The luxury bubble isn’t popping, but it’s shifting. | Oliver Corrin

  • Oliver Corrin
  • 6 August 2025
🛫 Luxury travel is seeing a shift. Aspirational travelers, with net worths between $100k–$1M, make up 35% of global luxury travel spend. They're driving demand for high-end experiences, but are economically vulnerable and may not return. Upscale airlines, Airbnb, and hotel developers are adapting to this trend. Brands must balance premium pricing with lasting emotional loyalty, focusing on reliability over opulence. The Connaught Bar in London exemplifies this, thriving on consistent service rather than transient trends.
