FAA directive on Boeing to potentially…

  • Kate Harden-England1
  • 21 August 2024
🚀 Mabrian reveals over 18 million seats on 64,000 flights could be affected by FAA-mandated inspections for 895 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft following a LATAM Airlines incident in March. The Airworthiness Directive, issued on August 20, 2024, targets inspection of switch caps/assemblies on Boeing 787-8, 787-9, and –10 models. 92% of flights involve 787-8 and 787-9 models, with 58% of seats on 787-9 aircraft. Airlines given 30 days to complete inspections, risking delays and cancellations. All Nippon Airways, Qatar Airways, Hainan Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, and others, including United Airlines and American Airlines, must readjust their schedules.
