Hotel Group Frenchospitality selects eviivo to power hybrid portfolio across Europe

Group reduces tech costs by 75% while scaling direct bookings and guest satisfaction across its portfolio of hotels and apartments.

LONDON, 15 July, 2025 — Frenchospitality —a Paris-based operator of boutique hotels, residences, and hybrid accommodation—has selected eviivo to centralise operations and enhance performance across its growing portfolio in Paris and the wider region.

Frenchospitality switched to eviivo in search of a more flexible and cost-effective solution capable of handling its unique operational model, spanning hotels, apartments, concierge services, and co-living—all from one platform.

Since adopting eviivo in pilot properties, Frenchospitality has reduced its technology spend from 4% of its annual revenue to just over 1%, largely due to the elimination of third-party tools and costly payment processors. The group now plans to use eviivo in its entire expanding portfolio.

Mathieu Weiss, COO and Co-founder of Frenchospitality, said, “With eviivo, we’ve reduced our tech stack costs by 75%, from 4% of revenue down to just 1%. That alone makes a huge difference to our bottom line, particularly across a high-volume, multi-site business like ours. But the real gain has been the ability to replace three or four tools with just one. That includes PMS, channel manager, CRM, booking engine and payment processor, all in a single, centralised system. For a 40-room hotel in Paris, this can represent up to €9,000 in savings per month.”

eviivo’s payments functionality also provides Frenchospitality full optionality, allowing the group to use their own merchant accounts and banking relationships, rather than defaulting to standardised gateways. This enabled the group to retain its preferred payment gateway, saving up to 2% per transaction.

“One of the biggest hidden costs in hospitality today is credit card commission. With other systems, operators often have no choice but to use built-in payment processors, which quietly take 1.5% to 2.5% of every transaction. With our previous PMS, that meant giving away a chunk of profit with no transparency. But with eviivo, we can connect directly to our preferred payment gateway under the terms we negotiated with our banks. That alone saves us over 1% per credit card transaction, and on a €1,000 booking, that’s real money back into the business,” Weiss added.

Beyond cost efficiency, Frenchospitality has reached a 35% direct booking rate across properties already using eviivo, exceeding the global average of around 20%. The group attributes the uplift to its direct booking offers combined with eviivo’s high-converting booking engine and advanced guest communication capabilities, particularly the WhatsApp integration.

“Some PMS providers come with bells and whistles but often overcomplicate the basics. What hoteliers need is straightforward functionality that helps operations. It was things like their advanced API and OTA connections, and the WhatsApp integration that made us say, ‘Yes, that’s exactly what we need,’ which was why we switched to eviivo,” noted Weiss.

Michele Fitzpatrick, CEO of eviivo, said, “We’re committed to delivering technology hoteliers trust, tools that simply work and adapt to their day-to-day needs. Operators like Frenchospitality don’t need more technology; they need a reliable partnership and a solution that offers flexibility and guest-focused features in one place. It’s about providing the essentials that move the needle, such as deep multi-property channel integrations and communications, including WhatsApp and SMS. We’re always proud to support independent businesses like theirs in driving down costs, improving operational efficiency, and empowering flexible, hybrid hospitality models.”

Frenchospitality operates across Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse and several other European locations, with further expansion underway. Its diverse portfolio includes standout properties such as the 1.75 Paris hotels, the 4-star aparthotel Montmartre Paris Suite, and other high-end apartments in the south of France.
