Raleigh Hotel Market Strengthens with Over 1 Million Room Nights as Demand Outpaces New Supply Growth

📅 In 2025, Raleigh began a $387-million expansion of the Raleigh Convention Center, adding 300,000 sq. ft. of event space and relocating the Red Hat Amphitheater. A 550-room Omni Hotel is under construction nearby. Despite the COVID-19 downturn, Raleigh’s hotel market rebounded by 2021, with occupancy peaking at 75.4% in 2019 and exceeding one million occupied room nights by 2025. ADR surpassed 2019 levels in 2022. A new 400,000 sq. ft. Union West development, including a 170-room hotel, is planned for 2028.
