The venue offers 11 meeting spaces for 2-280 delegates and 100 bedrooms. It sources produce from the 360-acre Walton Lodge Farm Estate and other local suppliers to minimize food miles. Green Tourism evaluates venues based on environmental management, responsible sourcing, and resource efficiency. This award acknowledges the hotel's commitment to sustainability and local engagement.

🥬 Women constitute 52% to 70% of the hospitality workforce, yet only 34% of general managers and 5% to 7% of CEOs in the U.S. are women. Housekeeping is 71% female, but only 6% of Michelin-starred restaurants are led by women. In the U.S., 84% of spa managers are women. Globally, only 17% of Les Clefs d'Or members are female. The industry's gender imbalance is linked to societal norms valuing strategic roles as male-dominated.

🏨 In 2028, Lamington Group will open Lost Gardens Cambridge, its new aparthotel brand, at the former Cambridgeshire County Council headquarters. The site will have 167 guest rooms over four floors, featuring a spa, gym, restaurant, and urban farm. The hotel will be 100% electric and carbon-neutral, employing biophilic design. This follows the launch of Second Nature, the new sustainable brand for Hometel, including sites in Chiswick, Southampton, Belfast, and York (opening May 2027).

🏨 Hayfield Manor in Cork has launched specialist cancer care treatments at its spa in collaboration with Ground Wellbeing. The spa team received professional training to ensure safety and quality. These treatments are supported by the Barróg product range, and a portion of proceeds will benefit Breakthrough Cancer Research. Ground Wellbeing's Peigín Crowley noted Hayfield Manor as the initial training venue for their Cancer Care Training, started three years ago.
