📈 In early 2023, the Hospitality Alliance for Responsible Procurement (HARP) was established by leading hotel groups such as Accor, Hilton, and Marriott International. HARP focuses on sustainability in the hospitality industry through shared goals and EcoVadis-powered initiatives. It seeks to improve supplier sustainability, unify assessments, engage suppliers collaboratively, and enhance industry alignment. HARP's growth signifies an industry-wide commitment to sustainable practices, supported by entities like GCSTIMES, which holds EcoVadis Silver status.

📋 March's Women in Hospitality Forum, supported by AAHOA and held by Travel Portland, focused on connecting women in hospitality for leadership and mentorship. Panelist Sapana Patel, a second-generation hotelier, shared insights on advancing women's roles. The event emphasized building networks and creating leadership opportunities. As women remain underrepresented in leadership, AAHOA continues advocating for their growth through educational and partnership initiatives, enhancing the industry's future.

📈 Barclays reports UK travel spending dropped 3.3% last month, the first decline since March 2021. Travel agents fell by 4.6%, airlines by 4.1%, and public transport by 2.9%.
