🏨 Ian Schrager and Highgate announce a global expansion of the PUBLIC brand. Highgate, managing over 80,000 keys across North America, the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe, will operate PUBLIC hotels, while Schrager maintains creative control. PUBLIC West Hollywood is set to open in spring 2026. Schrager also plans a new food and beverage collaboration at PUBLIC New York later this year. Highgate's Mahmood Khimji praises Schrager as the "greatest hotelier" of the modern era.

🏖️ In May 2026, KG Hotel will open in Klaksvík, Faroe Islands, adding to Nordic Hotels & Resorts' portfolio. Located in the city's fjord, it features 83 rooms, Alda Spa, and a restaurant named Sand. Klaksvík, with a population of over 5,000, is known for its fishing industry and serves as a hub for exploring the rugged landscapes of the Faroe Islands. Established in 1938, the town has a rich history rooted in the Viking Age.

🏨 The Lensbury, a Teddington-based resort, will undergo a £10 million refurbishment starting February 2026. The project involves upgrading its 155-room facilities, including the Club House restaurant, reception, and guestrooms, aiming for completion by late summer 2026. The 25-acre property will remain operational, with meals served in the Dunbar lounge during restaurant closure. Managed by L+R Hotels, The Lensbury was established in 1920 and operates as a four-star resort.

🏨 Teddington’s The Lensbury resort will undergo a £10m refurbishment starting February 2026. 🏨 Travelodge reported a 0.7% revenue increase to £1.04bn for 2025, despite forecasting a 6%-7.5% cost inflation for 2026 due to rising business rates and employment costs. 2025 saw 21 new UK hotels. A new Peruvian restaurant, Zampo, and a lobby lounge, Silhouette, enhance dining with traditional and Nikkei influences. 💰 PPHE Hotel Group anticipates 2025 results aligning with expectations, reporting £330.4m room revenue, a 4.2% rise from 2024. In Q4, room revenue increased by 4.9% and RevPAR by 5.0%, driven by a 7.8% average room rate rise. Annual RevPAR climbed 2.6% to £123.4, with a 75.1% occupancy rate. The UK saw solid performance, while Croatia's summer trading excelled. Major investments included Art’otel openings in Rome and London. Strategic review updates are expected on 26 February 2026.

🏖️ Treehouse Hotel Miami Beach is set to open in early 2029, bringing its playful, design-forward style to Miami Beach, Florida. Developed by Keyah Real Estate Group and designed by Rottet Studio, the hotel will incorporate Art Deco and Miami Modern designs. The location will feature a rooftop pool, a wellness club, and a serviced beach club. Originally launched in London in 2019, Treehouse Hotels includes sites in Manchester and Silicon Valley.

🏝️ The Luce, part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio, opens in St. Pete Beach on March 15, 2026, featuring 200 rooms, including bungalow suites. Guests earn 3,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night until March 31. Highlights include Sundrop restaurant, Baby Turtle Beach Club, a large pool, and 14,000 sq ft of event space. Located at 6300 Gulf Blvd, with access to St. Pete-Clearwater and Tampa airports, The Luce offers a modern yet nostalgic Floridian escape.
