🏨 Whitbread will acquire a site in Limerick's Opera Square for a 156-bedroom Premier Inn. The seven-story hotel will open after planning amendments and host around 60,000 guests yearly. Scheduled construction starts in 2027, with a 2025 basement completion. This expansion supports Whitbread's 5,000-room Ireland strategy and follows a 30% Irish room target increase. The hotel will create 30 permanent jobs, aligning with the Opera Square regeneration project. Planning applications are due by summer 2026.

🏨 Meliá Hotels International, leading in Spain's hotel industry, is entering Tunisia through a strategic partnership with Management Hospitality Group (MHG). By 2030, they aim for 3,000 rooms, starting with a 307-room resort in Mahdia in 2023. Four additional hotels will open between 2027 and 2029 in Tabarka, Monastir, Djerba, and Tunis City. Tunisia's tourism sector, hosting over 11 million annual visitors, sees this as a growth phase focusing on quality and diversification.

📅 In 2028, the 140-room Hyatt Select Berlin Prenzlauer Berg will open in Berlin, Germany, marking Hyatt Select's first hotel outside the U.S. since its 2025 launch. Hyatt aims to double its Essentials portfolio rooms in EAME by 2030. By 2025, World of Hyatt exceeded 63 million members. The Essentials portfolio accounted for over 40% of EAME deals since 2024. Notable 2026 EAME openings include Hyatt Regency London Olympia and Grand Hyatt The Red Sea.

🌳 Tengile MalaMala Collection, in South Africa's Sabi Sand and MalaMala Game Reserve, features six lodges and heritage camps along a 20 km Sand River stretch. Launching in December 2026, Khensani River Lodge, with nine suites, enhances their eco-tourism, community-partnered initiative. Owned by N’wandlamhari Communal Property Association and Saad family, the collection integrates wildlife diversity and community prosperity. Key lodges include Tengile River Lodge, Rattray’s Lodge, Kirkman’s Kamp, MalaMala Camp, and Sable Camp.

🏠 The Bedford by Martha Stewart opened at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, designed by ZDS Architecture & Interiors and Marquee Brands. Inspired by Stewart’s 1925 Bedford, NY farmhouse, it features a beige-gray palette with stone floors and open kitchens. A private dining room with olive and green hues adds a cozy atmosphere. This is Stewart’s first East Coast restaurant, following the 2022 Paris Las Vegas opening.

🏖 Spanning three years, Colorado's Dunton Hot Springs underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation, led by Waldo Works and Christina Rossi. Key features include a revamped Saloon and Dance Hall with a new wine cellar, Chuck’s Cabin with original log walls and a turquoise-tiled rain shower, and the refreshed Well House. The Potter House redesign concluded this transformation, enhancing bathrooms and adding soft goods. Major Ross Cabin blends rustic charm with modern interiors, maintaining the resort's Wild West spirit.
