🍴 London, 5th September: Renowned chef Scott Hallsworth launched Kuroyoko, a 30-seat kushiyaki-style restaurant inspired by Japan's neon backstreets, in Balham. The menu features dishes like Chicken Tsukune and Octopus with yellow chilli miso. Over 500 people joined the waitlist for early access, receiving 30% off their first visit. Kuroyoko's Phase Two will launch later this year, adding private karaoke rooms.

🏨 November 2025, Dublin's Creative Quarter will welcome The Hoxton, Ireland's debut location, situated in the historic Central Hotel on Exchequer Street. Ennismore’s AIME Studios restored the Victorian structure. The hotel offers 129 rooms and four F&B venues, including a lobby bar and Cantina Valentina. It introduces Groundworks, a basement nightlife venue. This follows The Hoxton's 2024 launches in Florence and Edinburgh.

🏨 New York, 2025: Islyn Studio designed Now Now, a hotel on Bowery, Downtown Manhattan, drawing inspiration from European sleeper trains and Japanese capsule hotels. Featuring 180 single-occupancy cabins, each measuring 32 square feet (3 square meters), the hotel maximizes space with custom furniture for storage and comfort. Guests enjoy self-check-in, communal bathrooms, and amenities like sound machines and noise-cancelling headphones. Now Now is longlisted for the Dezeen Awards 2025 in hotel and short-stay interior categories.

📰 Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Chicago, Illinois, launches “A World Awaits” campaign for its Alila brand, featuring personalized guest experiences. Debuting Alila Moments across 18 destinations, including California, India, Bali, Oman, and China, the campaign highlights cultural, environmental, and spiritual immersion. Experiences include hikes, artisanal tours, rituals, and local traditions. Alila will expand to Latin America with Alila Mayakoba in late 2025. Alila Moments are exclusive to guests, fostering connections with local culture and travelers.

🏨 Hotel Equities will manage the dual-branded Moxy Vancouver Downtown and Element Vancouver Downtown, a 30-story tower set to open in summer 2028. Owned by Paul Y. Construction (B.C.) Ltd., the project features 280 Moxy and 112 Element by Westin guestrooms in Vancouver's entertainment district. Positioned near BC Place and Rogers Arena, it caters to leisure and business travelers. This is Hotel Equities' second Moxy and third Element property, expanding their Canadian operations to 33 hotels.

🎤 Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando, Florida, announced a $40 million renovation featuring revamped guestrooms and suites, including the signature restaurant The Kitchen, Velvet Bar, and the hotel’s façade. The design by KTGY is inspired by California sunsets. 🏨 KPC Development's Kali Hotel and Rooftop in Inglewood has completed its structural frame. The $300m project, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, will feature 300 rooms and open in September 2026. Key amenities include 34 suites, a spa, pool, fitness center, and a 12th-floor restaurant. Located in Hollywood Park, the 300-acre development includes SoFi Stadium and will host the 2028 global sports event's Broadcast Center. Construction began less than 11 months ago.

Located in Vancouver's Granville Entertainment District, the dual-brand property will feature 392 rooms—280 for Moxy and 112 for Element. Managed by Hotel Equities, this project will be their second Moxy and third Element hotel in their Canadian portfolio, totaling 33 across Canada. Positioned near key Vancouver attractions, it targets both business and leisure travelers.
