🏨 AC Hotel Arlington National Landing, located in Arlington, Virginia, has opened after a multi-million dollar renovation, becoming the largest AC Hotel in North America with 355 guestrooms. The property features 8,800 square feet of meeting space, a 4,000-square-foot fitness center, and an AC Kitchen & Lounge. The hotel, formerly the Crystal City Marriott, offers easy access to transportation and nearby attractions like Amazon HQ2 and Virginia Tech’s campus. The AC Lounge operates a European-style buffet and happy hour.

🍴 Acclaimed chef Matt Abé will open his first solo restaurant, Bonheur by Matt Abé, in Mayfair in autumn 2025. The restaurant will be located on the former Le Gavroche site on Upper Brook Street. After 18 years with Gordon Ramsay, Abé will offer a personalized fine-dining experience, featuring á la carte choices and curated tasting menus. The restaurant includes a Chef’s Table, "Petit Bonheur," seating six for an intimate culinary experience. Further details will be announced soon.

📌 MEININGER Hotels partners with ESN to offer affordable lodging at 36 properties in 26 European cities for students, supporting intercultural exchange. ESN operates in 40+ countries, aiding 150,000 young people annually. MEININGER plans to expand in student hubs like Barcelona, Edinburgh, and Strasbourg. Since 1999, the hotel group aligns with Erasmus goals, which supported 5 million students since 1987. MEININGER's hybrid model combines hotel and hostel features, appealing to young travelers.

📈 Hilton's Q2 2025 saw global RevPAR down 0.5% and U.S. RevPAR down 1.5% compared to last year. CEO Chris Nassetta remains optimistic, expecting economic growth driven by AI and regulatory changes. 🏠 In 2025, Accor and businessman Phil Ruffin announced the signing of Treasure Island – TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Handwritten Collection, a 2,884-key property in Las Vegas. It debuts later this year under a franchise agreement with Accor, joining over 25 hotels in the Handwritten Collection with more than 35 in the pipeline. The resort features 10 dining venues, eight bars, and a 90,000 sq ft casino, following a multi-million-dollar refresh.

🏨 Brooklyn's South edge is seeing the rise of new developments: Breva restaurant, with 100 seats and a 110-seat patio, opened in December on Brighton Beach. Led by Tom Dillon, Apicii is developing Casa Pecora, a 55-room hotel with 10,000 sq ft of event space, set to open in summer 2026. Brooklyn houses 2.6 million people and is accessible to Manhattan. Despite resuming office work, 67% of organizations allow hybrid approaches. Dillon's ventures aim for South Brooklyn's long-term growth.
