Hilton’s Q2 RevPAR declines amid “noisy” economic conditions

📈 CEO Chris Nassetta, on July 24, 2025, highlighted Hilton's slight Q2 RevPAR decline: global down 0.5%, U.S. down 1.5%, partly due to new tariffs. Despite this, he foresees growth in corporate investment and AI-driven infrastructure. Hilton opened 221 hotels, with a 510,000-room pipeline. Notable expansions include Waldorf Astoria New York and Curio Collection in the Dominican Republic. China faces challenges, yet Hilton plans increased construction there. Full-year RevPAR projected to be flat to 2% up.

Apicii hospitality group sets its sights on the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Brighton Beach and Sheepshead Bay

🏨 Brooklyn's South edge is seeing the rise of new developments: Breva restaurant, with 100 seats and a 110-seat patio, opened in December on Brighton Beach. Led by Tom Dillon, Apicii is developing Casa Pecora, a 55-room hotel with 10,000 sq ft of event space, set to open in summer 2026. Brooklyn houses 2.6 million people and is accessible to Manhattan. Despite resuming office work, 67% of organizations allow hybrid approaches. Dillon's ventures aim for South Brooklyn's long-term growth.

B&B HOTELS: Strong growth with new openings and contracts in 2025

📍 Between January and June 2025, B&B Hotels opened new properties in Wismar, Krefeld-Süd, Munich-Schwabing, Emmerich, Passau-Süd, Vienna-Heiligenstadt, and Leszno. This expansion added 686 rooms: 474 in Germany, 120 in Austria, and 92 in Poland. Additionally, leases for 955 new rooms were signed, including a project in Linz. The company renovated 20 existing hotels within this period. Expansion is facilitated by partnerships with companies like Inseme GmbH and Kreotel GmbH.
