La Dolce Vita: Dolce by Wyndham opens hotel in Sicily

🏟 Wyndham Hotels & Resorts opened Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa in Sicily, near the UNESCO World Heritage city, Siracusa. The 102-room hotel features 83 guest rooms, 14 junior suites, and 5 king suites. It offers amenities like an 18-hole golf course, a fitness center, and a spa. The signature restaurant, Le Ceramiche, is run by Sicilian chef Mirko Previtera. This hotel is Wyndham’s seventh in Italy, part of a plan to open 20 hotels in 10 years.

The Mtn Scout hotel breaks ground in Truckee; will join Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio

🏕️ Gray’s Crossing Hospitality broke ground on The Mtn Scout Truckee, a 129-room boutique hotel, in Northern California’s Lake Tahoe Basin, scheduled to open in early 2028. Huff Construction and H-CPM partner in the development, with PM Hotel Group operating under Marriott Bonvoy. Features include a restaurant, event hall, and whiskey bar. Architecture by Andrew Goodwin Designs and interiors by Sixteenfifty Creative Intelligence aim to blend with the natural surroundings, enhancing the Village at Gray’s Crossing.

Westin opens in São Paulo

🏨 The Westin São Paulo, a collaboration between Marriott International and Rede Deville, opened in Itaim Bibi, São Paulo. The hotel offers 187 rooms within the JK Square complex. Scandic expands in Tromsø with new hotel : The Dock 69°39

Scandic expands in Scandinavia with a 236-room hotel in Uppsala, an alpine hotel in Sälen for 2027/2028, and Scandic Go Sankt Eriksgatan 20 in Stockholm with 234 rooms.

The Social Hub ramps up investments in local communities, unveiling ‘transformative’ public parks in Rome and Florence

🌳 The Social Hub opens two major parks in Florence and Rome, designed by Antonio Perazzi, with a €260 million investment. Florence features a 7,000 m² rooftop garden with 4,000 plants and a 50m pool. Rome's 10,000 m² park includes art installations and over 300 trees. The Florence rooftop opened in March 2025 and Rome's park in April. The projects enhance urban biodiversity and hospitality standards. Over 1,200 community events are planned annually.

Líbere Hospitality Group expands in Italy with new property in Rome

The Hoxton expands into Edinburgh’s West End

LHW expands portfolio with 10 new hotels across key destinations

NgoroNgoro Lodge in Tanzania opened in 2023. LHW reports a 15% annual sales increase, highlighting growth in luxury travel demand, with new properties across Europe and North America.

Hotel Gotham Newcastle to open in September
