🏨 Sonesta International Hotels Corporation announced the affiliation of four MOD Collection by Sonesta properties in January 2026. These properties include Pocono Mountain Villas in East Stroudsburg, PA; New Smyrna Waves in New Smyrna Beach, FL; Grand Seas in Daytona Beach, FL; and Summer Bay in Orlando, FL, adding 1,564 keys to Sonesta's portfolio. Sonesta introduced MOD Collection in June 2023. Currently, nine MOD hotels operate in North America, including in Alberta, California, Florida, Massachusetts, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

🏨 Four Seasons celebrates its 65th anniversary and plans strategic global expansion. Founded in 1961 by Isadore Sharp, the company now operates 135 hotels and 61 residences in 47 countries. Future openings in 2026 include Cartagena, Santa Barbara, and Venice. It will debut in Vietnam's Hanoi and return to Berlin and Brazil. Four Seasons manages 61 residential properties in 20 countries, with 65% of its pipeline including residential components.

🏨 Radisson Hotel Group opened the Radisson Resort and Residences Tenerife in Puerto de la Cruz, on Tenerife's northern coast. The property, near the historic town center, offers 241 rooms and residences with views of Mount Teide. Facilities include an outdoor pool, a wellness center, seven event spaces, Tremor Restaurant, and the Magma Pool Bar. Key attractions nearby are Lago Martiánez and the La Orotava Botanical Garden. This expansion emphasizes Radisson's focus on premium resort destinations.

🏨 Dallas, Texas, led U.S. hotel construction in Q4 2025 with 193 projects/23,720 rooms. Atlanta, Phoenix, Nashville, and Austin followed. Phoenix led under-construction with 35 projects/4,829 rooms. Dallas slated 74 projects/8,202 rooms in 2026. Q4 also saw 285 new project announcements, Phoenix leading with 12 projects/1,347 rooms. Forecasts for 2026 and 2027 predict Phoenix and Dallas as top markets with significant hotel openings. Hotel renovation/conversion was strong, led by Houston and Atlanta.

🛣️ EXPERIMENTAL* acquires Quinta da Comporta, located 1 hour and 20 minutes south of Lisbon, known for its beaches and rice fields. This follows their acquisition of Hotel Infante Sagres in Porto, opening in autumn 2026. EXPERIMENTAL*, founded in 2007, operates cocktail clubs, wine bars, and hotels in various locations like Paris, London, and New York. The brand plans to expand with hotels in Rome, Porto, and Comporta by 2026.

🏘 Staycity Group completed a sale, development, and leaseback deal with Bridges Fund Management and Citygrove for a 185-room Wilde Aparthotel in Nine Elms, London. Full planning consent was secured in November 2023 from Lambeth Council. The site has a gross development value of £85m and is expected to open in early 2028. Staycity will operate the property on a 30-year lease, featuring sustainable elements like solar PV and green roofing.

🏨 Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has opened the Taj Gangtey Resort & Spa in Phobjikha, Bhutan. The 35-key resort features amenities like a J Wellness Circle Spa, indoor heated pool, fitness center, and yoga instructors. Guests can enjoy the Chang Lounge & Bar and Vista restaurant. Located in Bhutan's scenic Phobjikha valley, known for its natural beauty, this resort expands IHCL's footprint in the region, which includes properties in Maldives, Sri Lanka, Dubai, and Nepal.

🏨 Radisson Hotel Group opens Radisson Resort & Residences Tenerife on Tenerife's northern coast in Puerto de la Cruz. The resort features 241 rooms designed for modern comfort with Crown Service amenities. Dining options include Tremor Restaurant and Magma Bars. Wellness facilities include Laurisilva Wellness Centre and a 24/7 fitness center. Meeting spaces are named after Canary Islands' parks. Guests can explore nearby attractions like Teide National Park and La Orotava Botanical Garden. Located at Carretera General, 51, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

🏨 In early 2026, Venice will see the unveiling of Danieli, A Four Seasons Hotel, on Riva degli Schiavoni, near Piazza San Marco. This renovation merges three historic palaces, including the 15th-century Palazzo Dandolo, first converted to a hotel in 1822. The hotel will expand to 176 rooms next year and feature a spa by late 2026. Executive Chef Adriano Rausa will oversee dining, with local ingredients and Venetian cuisine. General Manager Christian Zandonella leads the team.
