🏖️ Royal Palm South Beach Hotel, located at 1545 Collins Avenue in Miami’s Art Deco District, reopened after a $100 million transformation. Originally built in 1939, the hotel now features 404 guestrooms in three towers and spans 17 stories. Managed by Pivot and owned by Park Hotels and Resorts, it offers 18,000 square feet of event space, a private pool, and direct beach access. Culinary experiences include four dining concepts led by Chef Adrian Colameco.

🏨 Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud, IHG’s first Indonesian property, opens later in 2023 at Jalan Bisma. Featuring 101 rooms, including pool suites and villas, it offers five dining venues led by Chef Hirofumi Imamura. Amenities include a fitness studio and Sakshi Spa. Designed by Denton Corker Marshall, the hotel draws on Balinese traditions. General Manager Austin Jones highlights its cultural connection. Kimpton, founded in 1981, expands globally with planned openings in Adelaide, New York, Rotterdam, and Shanghai.

🏨 Marriott International and Catalonia Hotels & Resorts announced on July 22 the development of two all-inclusive resorts: a 522-room Marriott in Montego Bay, Jamaica opening in 2028, and a 271-room Autograph Collection in Zanzibar, Tanzania opening in 2027. Marriott plans 38 open resorts and 20 more projects in CALA and EMEA regions. Catalonia operates 82 hotels globally, including Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel.

🏨 WorldHotels, part of BWH Hotels, is expanding with over 40 new hotels in development, following a growth of 100 hotels in 2025. With the luxury travel market projected to rise from $1.6 trillion in 2025 to $3 trillion by 2033, the brand is launching projects like Essensia Sky in Vietnam and entering new markets such as South Korea and Portugal. Strategic partnerships include De Historiske in Norway, expanding WorldHotels' Crafted collection in Europe.

🏨 Crescent Hotels & Resorts expanded its portfolio by adding Hilton Short Hills in Short Hills, NJ. The property features 314 rooms, over 21,000 square feet of event space, and a 5,200-square-foot Grand Ballroom. Located near The Mall at Short Hills and 13 miles from Newark Liberty International Airport, the hotel offers dining, pools, tennis courts, and a fitness center. Crescent operates over 120 properties in the US and Canada, managing upscale Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt hotels.

🏨 Minor Hotels is set to expand into Türkiye's Aegean region with Anantara Retreat Çeşme and Anantara Residences Çeşme, opening in 2030. Located in Çakabey village, Çeşme district, the development will feature 54 guestrooms and 50 residences. Facilities include a spa, wellness center, rooftop bar, pools, and sports courts. Part of the Castello Fontana masterplan, it's an hour from İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport. Amir Golbarg highlights Çeşme's luxury appeal, focusing on culture and wellness.

🏨 In Q2 2026, the U.S. construction pipeline, reported by Lodging Econometrics, includes 5,975 projects and 703,001 rooms. Under construction are 1,081 projects with 133,216 rooms. Upper midscale and upscale chains lead with 2,225 projects/214,027 rooms and 1,282 projects/159,252 rooms, respectively. Luxury projects hit a record with 103 projects/25,496 rooms, a 12% increase YOY. By year-end 2026, 661 new hotels (74,820 rooms) will open in the U.S., with growth continuing into 2028.

🏨 Shaner Hotels opened the 109-room Four Points by Sheraton Newark Airport in Newark, NJ. Less than a mile from Newark Liberty International Airport, it offers pickup from Terminals A, B, and C, bypassing shuttle areas. This 314-room hotel features over 21,000 square feet of event space, including a 5,200-square-foot Grand Ballroom. Located across from The Mall at Short Hills, it is 13 miles from Newark Liberty International Airport. Amenities include indoor/outdoor pools, tennis courts, and a rooftop bar. The hotel serves the community with its dining and event spaces.
