🍴 Enrique Olvera launched San Damián in Venice, Los Angeles, revamping the former ATLA space with TALLER ADG and Charlotte Fischli. The restaurant features Mexican seafood by chef Chuy Cervantes, who crafts ceviches and aguachiles, including large plates like pescado asado guacachile amarillo. The decor includes Mexican art and furniture, with a future taqueria on the patio. Located at 1025 Abbot Kinney Blvd, San Damián offers an airy California Cantina vibe with mezcal cocktails.

🏨 IHG Hotels & Resorts, Pro-invest Group, and Connect Hospitality have unveiled voco Queenstown, completing the transformation from Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Announced in February 2026, this change aligns with IHG's premium brand. The hotel, featuring 227 revamped rooms, aims to meet high-quality accommodation demand. As New Zealand's second voco hotel, it joins others globally, exceeding 100 properties. The redesign includes lobby and dining spaces, enhancing guest experiences in Queenstown.

🏖 Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and J-Will Partners Co., Ltd. plan to open the 165-key Fairmont Niseko in Japan by early 2028. Located on nine acres between Mount Yotei and Mount Annupuri, it offers skiing, golf, and dining near Niseko Village and Hirafu. Daiken Sekkei, Inc. and Steve Leung Design Group lead architectural and interior design. The Hokkaido Shinkansen train extension by 2038 will enhance accessibility. The resort will feature two restaurants, a spa, a kids’ club, and Onsen experiences.

🌳 Located in Laikipia’s Solio Game Reserve, JW Marriott Mount Kenya Rhino Reserve Safari Camp has opened with 19 tented suites on a 45,000-acre conservancy. Designed by LW Design, the camp features private decks, plunge pools, and local artisan decor. Dining includes garden-fresh menus and a dedicated wine room. Guests enjoy game drives, walking safaris, and educational experiences like visits to the Solio Rhino Orphanage. Other amenities include a spa, fitness center, and outdoor pool.

🏨 Crestline Hotels & Resorts completed renovations at the Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Downtown/Waterfront in Portland, Maine. The hotel features 179 refreshed guest suites, a refurbished lobby, and updated public spaces. The 1,235 sq ft event space now includes a 65-inch TV. The fitness center and indoor pool were also renovated. Located near major attractions, it is five miles from Portland International Jetport and a two-hour drive from Boston Logan International Airport.
