🏨 Fairmont Hotels and Resorts will launch Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere in North West England on 10 July 2025. The £125m project includes a £35m acquisition and £90m redevelopment by Select Group. Spanning 157 acres, it offers 116 bedrooms, 23 suites, and amenities like an 18-hole golf course, spa, and Gordon Ramsay restaurant. The ballroom hosts 1,000 guests. This is Fairmont's fourth UK property, joining The Savoy, Fairmont Windsor Park, and Fairmont St Andrews.

Silverfox Studios Highlights Warayaki Straw Cooking at Strawfire in Abu Dhabi's Mandarin Oriental Emirates Palace

🍽️ In Abu Dhabi's Mandarin Oriental Emirates Palace, Strawfire showcases the traditional Japanese art of warayaki cooking, where straw is used to sear meat. Silverfox Studios designed the space with gold and straw motifs. Australian chef Ross Shonhan curated the menu, drawing inspiration from Japanese harvest festivals. The Toyama Private Dining Room features a 7.3-meter, 830-kilogram shimenawa rope hand-crafted in Japan. The Michelin Guide 2025 praises their cocktails, served in a setting reminiscent of Japan’s Tsukimi festival.
