🏝️ Trailborn Hotels & Resorts is set to debut Hill House at Trailborn Mendocino this summer, marking the first phase of a larger resort project in Mendocino, California. The 44-room retreat features Pacific Ocean views, walking paths, and various activities. By early 2027, the campus will expand with Mendocino Hotel, adding 20 guestrooms and 25 garden suites. The project aims to preserve the area's unique history and landscape while offering new experiences.

🏖️ Nikki Beach Hospitality Group plans to open Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Marrakech in 2028, located 20 minutes from Marrakech Menara Airport on Route de l’Ourika. The resort will feature over 100 suites and 50 serviced villas with private amenities. Wellness facilities will include hammams, saunas, and a sports complex. A beach club with a pool, dining options, and retail boutiques will be open to guests and the public. This project highlights Nikki Beach's expansion globally, with upcoming locations in Antigua, Ras Al Khaimah, Baku, and Muscat.

🏨 Walker & Dunlop has secured $104.5 million for The Ritz-Carlton Savannah, a 15-story luxury hotel set to open in 2028 in Savannah’s Historic District. The project involves converting two historic office buildings into a 168-key hotel covering 190,000 sq ft. TMGOC Ventures will benefit from federal and state historic tax credits. Located downtown, the site is near key attractions. The development addresses the high demand for luxury accommodations in a market with strict zoning rules.

🏨 In January 2026, Rolex decided to retain its headquarters in Cologne instead of demolishing it, following the rejection of a rebuild proposal in July 2025. The site, managed by Rémi Corpataux, will convert into a hotel and restaurant. Rolex established a subsidiary in August 2025 to oversee the project, with Centrum Group managing planning. The building, designed by Joachim Schürmann in 1973-1976, will retain its structure, with employees relocating to MesseCity Köln-Deutz in May.

🏨 HEI Hotels & Resorts adds The Westin Poinsett, Greenville to its portfolio, marking its first operation in South Carolina. The 200-room hotel, located on South Main Street in downtown Greenville, originally opened in 1925. It was renovated and reopened as a Westin in 2000, joining the Historic Hotels of America in 2002. The property features two ballrooms. This partnership with Highline Hospitality Partners is HEI’s second hotel management for the group.

🏨 In Newport, Rhode Island, The Vanderbilt, Auberge Collection, a 33-room resort, completes a significant renovation of the Vanderbilt Room. Led by SWOON and Herkworks Architecture, the project integrates historical elements and modern design, using jewel tones and reclaimed wood. The 1,280 square-foot room accommodates 50 for dinners, 100 for receptions, and 60 for weddings, supporting various events. The renovation pays homage to Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, blending Newport's colonial and Gilded Age influences.

📍 April 2026, Orlando, Florida: Performance Hospitality completed a multi-million-dollar renovation, transforming the Holiday Inn & Suites into the Courtyard by Marriott Across Universal Orlando. This upgrade includes 390 updated guestrooms, 134 suites, outdoor pools, and over 11,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel features The Bistro & Bar and The Crate Grab-N-Go, alongside amenities like a fitness center and complimentary WiFi. Located near major attractions, it also offers a complimentary shuttle to Universal Orlando Resort.

📅 April 2-3, in Morocco, Accor Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin and Risma's Supervisory Board announced a milestone in their 30-year partnership. They plan projects to boost Moroccan tourism, including launching Sofitel Tangier on the new corniche, a hotel renovation program, and a Tourism and Hospitality Training Academy. The initiatives focus on modernizing the hotel sector, nurturing local talent, and strengthening human capital to fuel economic growth in Morocco.

🏨 Radisson Hotel Group has reached 100 hotels in Africa, following rapid growth with over 15 new hotels and 2,500 rooms added in the past year. Key expansions include the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, and Egypt. In Nigeria, 13 hotels are planned or operational, while South Africa targets cities like Cape Town. Major projects include a 110-room hotel in Kinshasa by 2026, a 147-key project in Harare by 2028, and 469 rooms in Egypt by 2029.
