🏨 Marriott International, in collaboration with Egyptian developers Misr Italia Properties and People and Places, will build nine properties in Egypt, adding over 1,500 hotel rooms and residences across locations like Ras Al Hekma, West Cairo, East Cairo, and Ain Sokhna. They plan to invest EGP 56.7 billion (£844 million), creating around 6,000 jobs and accommodating 373,000 tourists annually. This initiative expands on a 2022 deal, with an aim of 50 hospitality assets by 2037.

🍳 On July 22, Tasca took over Project 44 in Shoreditch, London, transforming it into a Southern European-inspired wine bar. The soft launch offered 50% off food until July 25, with regular service starting July 29. Head Chef Josh Dallaway and Sommelier Sinead Murdoch crafted a menu featuring seasonal dishes and a curated wine list. 🏖️ Mendocino Cove, led by Teresa Raffo and Chris Hougie, opens August 1, 2026, in Mendocino, California. This 40-suite hotel spans 11 oceanside acres, six miles north of Mendocino village. It features eight pickleball courts, a Nordic-inspired spa, and direct beach access. Accommodations include 40 suites in Cypress and Vista Cove buildings, with 19 King Suites in Vista Cove. Dining options will expand in fall 2026 with a full bar and tapas menu.

🍴 September 1, 2026, marks the debut of The Shepherd Mayfair in London's Shepherd Market, housed on a historic site from 1618. The hotel features 82 rooms and the 62-cover Fayre restaurant, offering seasonal British dishes. Fayre’s interior, designed by Timothy Shepherd, showcases dark timber and berry tones. A unique "Puddings by the Glass" concept includes a strawberry and Champagne trifle. Additional dining spaces include The Lounge and Teddy’s cocktail bar, enhancing the hotel’s local integration.

🏖️ INNSiDE by Meliá opened in Bugibba Square, Malta on July 12, 2026, featuring 86 rooms, a rooftop infinity pool, and three dining concepts. 🏨 Valor Hospitality Partners has partnered with Bellamare Development in Mississippi, taking over management of eight hotels with 685 rooms. This collaboration designates Valor as Bellamare's preferred operating partner for hospitality projects across the Americas. Valor, managing 100+ hotels in over 22 countries, will enhance hotel performance and guest experience. Bellamare's headquarters in Mississippi, focuses on hospitality, entertainment, and residential projects. Valor is based in Atlanta and operates in 12 US states.

🏨 NYX Hotels inaugurates its first Scottish property, a 125-room hotel in Edinburgh, after a £60 million investment. Located on Jeffrey Street near the Royal Mile, it features the Clash Bar and Restaurant with all-day dining and live DJ sessions. The opening creates 60 jobs and marks the brand’s fifth UK and Ireland location. Managed by Simone Villari, the hotel aims to reflect Edinburgh's art and culture, expanding Leonardo Hotels’ footprint in Scotland.

🏠 Olympia, first opened in 1886 in West Kensington, London, underwent a £1.3 billion transformation led by Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC starting in 2020. The partially opened site in summer 2026 includes a 3,800-capacity venue and two new hotels. The future plans include a rooftop dining area and a 1,575-seat theatre, opening in 2027. The development is expected to attract 10 million visitors annually, contributing over £600 million to the UK economy.
