🏨 Sonesta International Hotels Corporation opened Red Lion Inn & Suites Urbana in Urbana, Illinois. This 127-room hotel is near the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, and the Spurlock Museum. Keith Pierce, Sonesta’s EVP and president of franchise development, highlighted its service and charm for visitors touring the university or nearby attractions. Red Lion properties are often located near national parks, appealing to nature enthusiasts.

🏨 The Shepherd Mayfair will open in 2026 in Shepherd Market, London, led by Timothy Shepherd. Spanning 33,600 sq ft and featuring 82 rooms across 6 floors, the hotel includes dining venues Fayre (75 covers), The Lounge (58 covers), and Teddy’s Bar (72 covers). Inspired by Mayfair’s historic mansions, it blends classic and contemporary design. Notable features include bespoke joinery, marble bathrooms, and art by Jack English and George McLeod. 🏨 Apiary Hotel will open in early 2026 at 4855 S. Quebec Street, Denver, as South Denver's first lifestyle, extended-stay hotel. The Marriott Bonvoy property features 175 suites, a cocktail lounge, and a market & café. Located in the Belleview Station district, 12 miles from downtown, it offers easy access to local attractions. Apiary includes a 900-square-foot event space and residences with up to three bedrooms, including 13 penthouses. A collaborative effort by Marriott, Stonebridge, and Copford Capital Management.

🏨 La Résidence Phou Vao, located atop Phou Vao Hill in Luang Prabang, Laos, has reopened after a comprehensive renovation led by Sanya Souvanna Phouma and HMD Asia. The 37-suite hotel combines Lao heritage and French art with modern comforts, such as expanded private terraces and state-of-the-art facilities. Plans for 2026 include a wellness center and a Presidential Suite. The renovation honors its history while offering panoramic views of UNESCO-listed sites and sacred mountains.
