🏨 Reservations open for Omni Pontoque at Punta de Mita, Mexico's first Omni Hotels & Resorts property. Spanning 50 oceanfront acres, it offers 202 guest rooms, 28 junior suites, 14 suites with plunge pools, and two four-bedroom villas. Enjoy a 1,250-foot beach, spa, five pools, and 27,295 sq. ft. of event space. Five dining venues include Tatei and Zuravé. The spa provides 11,105 sq. ft. with 14 treatment rooms. The resort features a fitness center, kids club, nature tours, and more.

📍 IHG Hotels & Resorts and Nooa Holdings have signed two Garner Hotels in the UAE, opening in 2026. The hotels will add 285 keys: Garner Hotel Ras Al Khaimah Downtown with 204 keys, near Al Naeem Mall and 15 minutes from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport; and Garner Hotel Dubai Al Jaddaf with 81 keys, near Al Jaddaf Waterfront and between Downtown Dubai and Dubai International Airport. This expansion targets midscale travelers seeking affordable, high-quality stays.

🏨 Oberoi Hotels & Resorts will open The Oberoi Sukoonvilas in Wadi Safar, Saudi Arabia, in Q1 2027. The resort spans over 37 acres atop a 70-meter escarpment, featuring 60 villas and 10 branded residences. Designed by Aedas, it highlights Najdi architecture. Dining options include Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai's Yatra. Wellness offerings include hammams, fitness facilities, and a 65-meter infinity pool. It's the first hotel in Wadi Safar, emphasizing Saudi heritage and Oberoi's luxury service.

🏨 IHG Hotels & Resorts will open San Bernardo, Vignette Collection in central Madrid in March 2028. The 67-room hotel, owned by San Bernardo 19 S.L. and operated by Hotel Collection International, will transform a heritage office building while maintaining its architectural features. This addition brings IHG's Luxury & Lifestyle properties in Spain to 21. Vignette Collection, launched in 2021, aims for 100 hotels in 10 years.

🏨 Choice Hotels International, based in North Bethesda, Maryland, expands its upscale footprint with six new properties: two Cambria Hotels in Colorado Springs and Jacksonville, and four Ascend Collection hotels in Florida, Vermont, and Wisconsin. The Cambria Hotel Colorado Springs features 97 rooms and is near the U.S. Air Force Academy. The Ascend Collection hotels include nearly 1,100 square feet of meeting space in Sarasota and 19,000 square feet in Mishicot. The Sun Lodge in Vermont offers 50 guestrooms with ski-in/ski-out access.

🏨 As of 2026, Hyatt Hotels Corporation is expanding its luxury portfolio in the Americas. In Mexico, the Park Hyatt brand opened Cabo del Sol in December 2025, with Riviera Maya and Mexico City Polanco set to follow by 2026 and spring 2027, respectively. The Unbound Collection will introduce Impression Isla Mujeres on November 2, 2026. Alila Mayakoba joined the portfolio in February 2026. Hyatt operates over 1,350 hotels in 78 countries.

🏨 By 2030, GCC countries will add nearly 126,000 new hotel rooms, boosting supply by 25% to reach 616,000 rooms. The UAE and Saudi Arabia lead this expansion, with Saudi Arabia adding nearly 94,500 rooms. As of August 2026, UAE had 212,135 rooms, with 151,380 in Dubai. Saudi Arabia's occupancy held at 59% despite regional tension, while Dubai's dropped 27%. The UAE offers a $680 million relief package for recovery. Kuwait saw a 3.2% ADR rise, with Saudis up 0.6%.

🍴 Stoke Park, a 300-acre Buckinghamshire estate, acquired by Reliance Industries Limited in 2021, will launch its new dining offerings in October 2026. Chef Tom Sellers, alongside Dom Robinson and Tom Phillips, has curated five dining and drinking spaces, including The Penn, with a 48-cover dining room. Other venues include The Piano Bar, The Terrace & Glasshouse, The Tea Room, and The Clubhouse. 🏖️ UK retreat operator Elysium Retreats plans to expand to 12 new destinations over two years. Currently, it operates Fairwood Lakes in Wiltshire and Benview Lodges in Stirlingshire. The expansion, part of Sight Acre Group's strategy, will involve acquisitions, refurbishments, and new developments. The aim is to meet growing demand for nature-focused stays and become a leading UK retreat operator while maintaining a focus on comfort, nature, and guest experiences.

🏝️ Rockliffe Hall has reopened after a multi-million-pound refurbishment, aiming to be a top luxury golf resort in the UK. The renovation includes a new 36-cover restaurant, Atlas James and Maria Close, led by chef James Close. Situated on 375 acres, the resort boasts a 50,000 sq ft spa, 43 rooms, and an 18-hole golf course. Dining options include Rialto, Ro, and The Morning Room. The resort's historic East Wing and facilities like the 20m indoor pool and gardens enhance the experience.
