🍳 Andrea Ciuccio has been appointed as the new executive chef at W Algarve, replacing Julio Ferradas. Starting his career in Sydney, Ciuccio has over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, working in cities like Barcelona and the Cayman Islands. Previously a sous chef at W Barcelona, he'll now oversee menu development at W Algarve, focusing on Mediterranean dishes using local Algarve ingredients.

🏨 Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona, open since 1918, is undergoing phased renovations of guestrooms, suites, and social spaces, designed by Lázaro Rosa-Violán. This coincides with Barcelona's designation as UNESCO–UIA World Capital of Architecture 2026 and Gaudí Year. Luis Cobo, formerly of Park Hyatt Dubai, is the new general manager. The hotel has a redesigned rooftop terrace, La Dolce Vitae, with culinary updates and new programs. Further renovations include new signature suites and dining concepts.

🏨 Hayes Mansion, Curio Collection by Hilton in San Jose, appoints Isabelle Matter as new general manager. Matter, with over 20 years of experience in luxury and lifestyle hotels, previously managed The Clift Royal Sonesta in San Francisco. From 2019 to 2023, she launched Hotel Caza as inaugural GM. Matter's past roles include GM positions at YOTEL SF, Hotel De Anza, and Joie de Vivre properties. Her expertise in Bay Area hospitality operations makes her an ideal fit.

💻 Connor Neeson joined Apaleo as Country Lead for the UK & Ireland to strengthen regional presence. With over 15 years in hospitality tech, including roles at Triptease, Cloudbeds, and CheKin, he aims to help businesses transition from legacy systems to Apaleo's API-first platform. Apaleo operates in 30+ countries, supporting over 2,200 properties and 100,000 units. Focused on flexibility, Neeson's appointment reflects Apaleo’s commitment to long-term growth in key markets.

🏝️ Tracy Stoltz is appointed as the managing director of Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort in Hawaii. Stoltz transitions from The Hythe in Vail, Colorado, where she was the general manager. Her extensive career includes leadership roles in Marriott International and Starwood Hotels, and a $240 million project at Grand Isle Resort, Bahamas. Jillian Katcher, VP of Rosewood Hotel Group, commends Stoltz’s experience for enhancing guest experiences at Kona Village.

🏨 Starwood Hotels appoints David Duran as GM of 1 Hotel Austin, opening August 2026, and Collin Ten Dam as GM of Treehouse Hotel Manchester. Duran, formerly GM of Pendry San Diego, led a 317-key property with 500+ staff. Ten Dam, with 15+ years at Marriott, will oversee the debut of the 14th floor at Treehouse Manchester, featuring The Nest rooftop bar, Sister Moo restaurant, and nine premium suites.

💸 Milos Nedovic appointed as chief asset and investment officer at Chedi Hospitality to oversee financial strategy and portfolio expansion. He brings 15+ years of luxury hospitality finance experience in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, including roles at Hyatt Hotels and Rikas Hospitality Group. Nedovic's role includes capital allocation, revenue performance, and tech integration for operational efficiency. Stephan Schupbach, president and CEO, highlights Milos's role in enhancing capabilities and long-term value.

📅 Hilton partners with Navan, announced Tuesday, to open direct access to its reservation system. This allows Navan to retrieve rates, availability, and marketing content directly, bypassing intermediaries. Traditional systems limit hotel marketing to 80 characters, restricting differentiation. The integration aims to enhance merchandising with full content and images, offering upsells, confirmed discounts, and exclusive perks. Navan launched its new hotel content platform in March. The partnership also features virtual credit card integration.
