🏨 The CEO and deputy CEO of Dalata, Ireland's largest homegrown hotel operator, will step down later this year after a post-acquisition restructure. Dalata, managed by Scandic Hotels Group since November, expanded under CEO Dermot Crowley, who joined in 2012 and became CEO in 2021. The company added 16 hotels and 3,800 rooms across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Three more hotels will open this year in Dublin, Edinburgh, and Berlin, with four in planning.

📈 Luis Arsuaga, appointed by Cushman & Wakefield on 20 April 2026, will lead their hotel platform in Spain with Bruno Hallé and Albert Grau. Spain's hotel investment reached over €4 billion last year, a 50% increase from 2024, ranking it second in Europe. Arsuaga brings over 20 years of experience in real estate and hospitality. His prior roles included leadership positions at CBRE, JLL, NH Hotel Group, Mabel Capital, and Grupo Norvo.

🏨 Minor Hotels, with over 640 properties in 63 countries, is expanding into Croatia and Slovenia by 2026. Mikhail Kolesnik has been appointed as Regional Director for the Balkans and CIS regions, focusing on an asset-light model. In Croatia, the Adriatic Istria Resort in Savudrija will be refurbished, and Slovenia's Hotel Palace Portorož will undergo renovations, both reopening in early 2027. These strategic expansions bolster Minor Hotels’ presence in the Adriatic and align with local cultural identities.

📈 Digney Holding, Inc., a Delaware-based company, expanded by including EIS Hospitality, LLC. Tom Kelley appointed as CEO and President. Digney York Associates completed over $2 billion in hotel projects across four decades. Ownership remains unchanged with private shareholders linked to former Elkay Manufacturing. Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, from a previous merger in February 2022, trades on the NYSE. The reorganization aims for operational excellence in hospitality renovations and manufacturing.

🏨 Driftwood Hospitality Management (DHM) now manages the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza, a 371-room hotel in Kansas City's Country Club Plaza district. The $1.5B redevelopment of the area boosts the hotel's appeal. The property offers 29,000 sq ft of meeting space and features such as American Slang Modern Brasserie, a resort-style pool, and a 24-hour fitness center. This marks DHM's third property in Missouri, expanding its Midwest urban market presence.

📈 On July 1, Clark Hanrattie will become CEO and managing partner of HEI Hotels & Resorts, succeeding Anthony Rutledge, who led since 2012. Hanrattie, with 30 years in the industry, has managed over 175 hotels worth $9 billion. Under Rutledge, HEI's assets grew from $2 billion to $20 billion. HEI, based in Norwalk, Conn., operates over 100 hotels across the U.S. Hanrattie aims to enhance real estate value and maintain HEI’s cultural ethos.

🏨 Hyatt Hotels appointed Vikas Chawla as president for India and Southwest Asia in April 2026. Chawla, with a background in food and beverage from companies like Coca-Cola and Compass Group, is tasked with doubling Hyatt's presence in India from 55 to 100 hotels by 2030. The expansion targets metro cities, spiritual circuits, resort towns, and smaller cities, requiring brand discipline aligned with Chawla's expertise.

📈 Clark Hanrattie will become CEO and managing partner of HEI Hotels & Resorts on July 1, 2026, succeeding Anthony Rutledge, who led since 2012. Hanrattie, with HEI for 23 years, has helped the portfolio grow from 35 to over 100 hotels. Under Rutledge, real estate value surged from $2 billion in 2012 to $20 billion. Hanrattie started at Olympus Real Estate in 1993, joined HEI in 2004, and focuses on enhancing the owner/operator model.
