Summer 2025 review: A generally sluggish market, but marked regional contrasts

🏨 Over the first seven weeks of summer 2025, hotel activity in France fell by 9.2% compared to 2024. Paris saw declines, while Nice and Cannes grew by +6% and +20% over two years. Coastal and mountain regions saw positive growth, +5% and +7.5% respectively. Visitor numbers increased by 1.2 points, but spending was controlled. Rural and southern destinations gained popularity. The Tour de France positively impacted Lille, Normandy, and Brittany, with RevPAR increasing by +8.5% and +10%.

CoStar Reports Negative U.S. Hotel Industry Performance Results in July
