🍺 The Wheatsheaf, located in Fitzrovia, London, has reopened after an extensive refurbishment by Nicholson’s Pubs Collection. This historic pub, once frequented by literary figures like George Orwell and Dylan Thomas, features a new upstairs space called The Orwell Room. It offers Nicholson’s Pale Ale and award-winning pies, including a new Chicken, Mushroom & Henry Weston’s Cider pie. It's open Monday-Thursday 11am-11pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-12am, and Sunday 12pm-10:30pm. Address: Rathbone Place, London W1T 1JB.

New data shows restaurant visits per week have increased

📈 Consumer sentiment showed improvement in June 2025, with dining participation rates rising to 77.3% from 76.4% in Q4 2024. Visits per week increased from 1.99 to 2.19. Despite this, 87% of trade-off households plan to reduce restaurant spending. Menu prices have outpaced groceries for 27 months, but median household income rose to $85,632. Trade-off consumers have increased to 34.5% in June. Restaurants are advised to entice these consumers with promotions and value offerings.

Jet2 reaffirms late booking trend as annual…

✈️ Jet2’s pre-tax profits increased by 12% to £593 million for the year ending March, with passenger numbers rising by 12% to 19.77 million. Annual revenue grew by 15% to £7.17 billion. The company expanded operations at Bournemouth and Luton airports, adding a fifth aircraft in Liverpool. Jet2 plans for a summer capacity of 18.6 million seats, 8% higher than last year. Seven new Airbus A321neos were added, and 132 more are expected by 2035.
