FAA's new air traffic controller training and upgrades are paused. National parks, including the Grand Canyon, face potential closures, risking local tourism income. Utah and Colorado might use state funds to keep parks open. The shutdown worsens the weak tourism sector, already affected by declining Canadian visitors during the Trump era.
