East Avenue Development Recognized with Hilton’s Tapestry Conversion of the Year Award for Starlite Yellowstone

WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. – May 13, 2026 – Starlite Yellowstone, Tapestry Collection by Hilton has received Hilton’s Tapestry Conversion Award, part of the Hilton Americas Development Awards recognizing outstanding achievements by owners, development partners, and hotel teams across the Americas. The award recognizes standout Hilton conversion projects that bring new vision, thoughtful design, and memorable guest experiences to life.

For East Avenue, the recognition marks a milestone in the transformation of a familiar West Yellowstone property into a hotel experience designed to honor the past while giving travelers something new to discover.

The Starlite name is not new to West Yellowstone. Decades before its transformation into a Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel, an earlier version of the property operated as Starlite Travelers Lodge, welcoming road-trippers, park explorers, and families passing through the gateway to Yellowstone.

Today, that name has been reimagined for a new generation of travelers.

Developed by East Avenue and managed by Vista Host, Inc., the 133-room hotel sits in downtown West Yellowstone, just minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. The conversion brought new energy to a familiar property, pairing the nostalgia of a classic Yellowstone road trip with elevated design, playful amenities, and a stay built around the way guests experience Yellowstone today.

“It is an honor to accept this award on behalf of East Avenue and the entire Starlite Yellowstone team,” said Justin Mabey, co-founder and partner of East Avenue. “From the beginning, our vision was to create a hotel that felt authentic to West Yellowstone, not just another place to stay near the park. Starlite Yellowstone celebrates the spirit of the destination, the history of the property, and the sense of wonder that brings travelers here year after year. We are grateful to Hilton for this recognition and proud of the team that brought this project to life.”

Starlite Yellowstone was designed around the rhythm of a Yellowstone trip, from early mornings heading into the park to evenings spent unwinding after a day of adventure. Guests can enjoy an indoor pool with a 100-foot waterslide, a family-friendly game room, and inviting gathering spaces throughout the hotel. The property is also home to Black Sheep Cafe, a Utah-born restaurant concept bringing regionally inspired flavors to the heart of West Yellowstone.

Under the leadership of General Manager Matthew Simonson, the Starlite Yellowstone team welcomes guests with thoughtful service and a stay experience inspired by the pace, scenery, and nostalgia of a classic Yellowstone trip. As part of Tapestry Collection by Hilton, the hotel reflects the brand’s focus on original, independent properties with distinctive design, unique food and beverage, and a story worth discovering.
