RV Park Supply Near World Cup Host Cities More Than Triples Ahead of 2026 Tournament Window

Melbourne, 19 May 2026 – RV park supply near U.S. host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has more than tripled year-on-year for the June 10–20 tournament window, according to new data from leading global hospitality platform RMS and specialist outdoor hospitality online travel agency (OTA) Spot2Nite.

The data, drawn from RV parks listed on Spot2Nite within 50 miles of US World Cup host cities, suggests outdoor hospitality operators are increasingly turning to online travel agencies and distribution channels to make their inventory visible and bookable ahead of one of the world’s largest sporting events.

The findings come as the wider accommodation sector prepares for a more uneven World Cup demand curve than initially expected. According to the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s FIFA World Cup 2026 Hotel Outlook, 80% of surveyed hotel respondents across US host cities said bookings were tracking below initial forecasts, with international travel barriers, rising costs and FIFA room-block releases cited among the factors affecting early demand.

This creates a timely opportunity for RV parks and campgrounds to play a stronger role in the wider World Cup accommodation mix.

Spot2Nite’s data also shows significant differences in pricing across host-city markets. Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Philadelphia are currently seeing average nightly rates between $97 and $190 for the June 10–20 window, pointing to stronger premium pricing potential in coastal and high-demand markets.

By contrast, Dallas and Kansas City are averaging considerably lower nightly rates, at approximately $56 to $68, suggesting some operators may not yet be pricing the tournament period as a major demand event.

Houston stands out as the largest and most varied market. It has more listed parks than any other host-city area, with rates ranging from $41 to $223 and an average nightly rate of $73. While some Houston-area properties appear to be pricing for a premium event period, many remain closer to standard summer pricing.

Adam Seskis, CEO at RMS, said: “With just a few weeks until the World Cup begins, this is the moment for RV parks and campgrounds to get serious about visibility, pricing and bookability. Fans are already planning, but demand will continue to move as teams progress and travel plans change throughout the tournament.

“For operators, this is not a set-and-forget demand opportunity. Parks need to monitor booking pace, local demand and match outcomes closely, then use dynamic pricing to make the most of each shift in demand. As teams advance, fans will follow, and operators need to be ready to adjust quickly as demand moves from one host city to another.

“The parks that win this demand will not simply be the ones with availability. They will be the ones that are easy to find, easy to book and priced for the moment.”

RMS is urging RV park and campground operators near World Cup host cities to act now on pricing, distribution and booking readiness while tournament demand is still forming.
