The browser-based system preserves self-claim workflows while calculating pickup-and-delivery routes from live property conditions.
SEONGNAM, Republic of Korea – HotelStride, a focused hotel-operations product developed by Primary System, is now available as self-service SaaS for hotels worldwide and as a commissioned deployment for Korean properties. It connects Front or CCS order entry with a Houseman self-claim queue, then calculates one pickup-and-delivery route across the orders each Houseman has accepted.
The product addresses a narrow operational gap. When several guest-room requests arrive at once, the required items may be spread across different pantries, storage points, or guest rooms. Staff often plan the sequence mentally while checking elevators, stairs, priorities, and the location of movable assets. HotelStride turns those accepted requests and configured property conditions into a clear next-stop sequence that recalculates as work changes.
“Houseman work changes minute by minute, so a system should not remove the judgment of the person on the floor. We kept self-claim at the centre and applied route calculation only after an order is accepted,” said Hyunjun Ko, founder of HotelStride and Primary System. “The goal is modest and practical: give Front, Houseman, and Manager one live view, then reduce avoidable backtracking in the work already chosen.”
A route built around hotel conditions
HotelStride can account for the Houseman’s current floor, pantry and item locations, measured elevator wait and travel time, usable stair spans, temporary blockages, item weight or bulk, carrying limits, urgency, and SLA priority. Pickup locations are included in the calculation, not only the guest-room destinations. Heavy or bulky items can be excluded from stair routes when the hotel’s handling rules require it.
The product does not automatically assign work to an employee. Housemen continue to choose orders from the live queue, which preserves on-shift flexibility and avoids publicly forcing an assignment. Once accepted, the orders are combined into a route from the Houseman’s last confirmed location. Front or CCS can follow the same live status without calling repeatedly for updates, while managers retain oversight of open, accepted, delayed, and completed work.
Movable assets remain visible
Extra Beds, transformers, humidifiers, air purifiers, and other serialized hotel assets can keep a unique identifier and current location. Pickup, delivery, collection, and maintenance events update the asset record, so Front can check availability while speaking with a guest. Where appropriate, an available asset can be collected from a pantry or guest room and included in the next delivery route.
Two ways to begin
For self-service use, an owner creates the hotel identity and activates the USD 199 monthly property subscription before operational setup opens. The owner then configures floors, room ranges, pantries, item locations, elevator and stair paths, starter items, departments, and access roles. The plan includes unlimited Front or CCS and Houseman users for one property. HotelStride runs in the browser and as an installable progressive web app, so a native mobile-app rollout is not required.
Korean hotels may instead request a commissioned deployment from Primary System. That path uses the same operating core but can add property-specific routing costs, handling rules, permissions, reports, workflow changes, setup, and ongoing support. This lets a hotel start with the focused Front-to-Houseman workflow without committing to a broad replacement of its existing systems.
