IHG’s voco brand reaches 100 hotels in seven years

📍 voco brand's flexible design facilitated rapid hotel expansion with minimal costs. Now open in 25+ countries—UK, Australia, Singapore, US—and expanding to Turkey, Malaysia, Aruba. By 2028, a hotel at Berlin's Alexanderplatz opens. The 100th hotel is in Guilin Yangshuo, China, featuring 73 rooms. voco Quang Binh Resort, Vietnam, has 68 suites near UNESCO sites. voco The Shelby, Myrtle Beach, US, has 241 rooms. 95 more properties are in the pipeline, aiming for 200 worldwide within a decade.

IHG to open first InterContinental in Manchester

🏨 Blue Manchester Hotel Limited will rebrand its 264-room hotel by 2027, while it continues operations. Located in Beetham Tower, Manchester, the hotel features 264 rooms, a ground-floor bar, restaurant, indoor pool, fitness facilities, and 18 meeting rooms (1,821 sq ft). IHG, with 363 hotels in the UK and 33 in development, enhances its portfolio by adding InterContinental Manchester – Deansgate, joining four other luxury regional properties.

Dusit opens hotel in Chengdu’s AG Park

🏨 Dusit Hotels and Resorts opened its first property in Sichuan, China: Dusit Hotel AG Park, Chengdu. Located in Xinjin, 30 minutes from downtown Chengdu, the hotel features 241 rooms, including seven private villas. Highlights include dining venues with farm-to-table options, a conference hall, and leisure activities. A Thai Food Festival runs through June 30, and the Dusit Experience package is available until August 31, with rates from CNY799.

Aman Group is developing its lifestyle Janu brand in Turks and Caicos

🏝️ Aman Group is launching Janu Turks and Caicos, their first lifestyle brand in the Americas, currently under construction on the northwest coast of Providenciales. Located within an 18,000-acre nature reserve, the development includes a hotel, residences, culinary concepts, a beach club, and a 164-foot swimming pool. The Spa and Wellness Centre features an IV Lounge, Meditation Studio, and more. It’s the fifth Janu location, following projects in Tokyo, Dubai, Diriyah, and AlUla.

Shangri-La opens first of its ‘ultra-luxury’ Signatures brand in Hangzhou

🏨 Shangri-La Group launched a luxury brand, Shangri-La Signatures, with The Silk Lakehouse opening on West Lake, Hangzhou. Designed by Gert Voorjans and Lázaro Rosa-Violán, it includes a lobby with 1,930 Murano glass pieces. The hotel offers 68 rooms, hosts for cultural activities, and wellness services. Dining options feature The Living Room by Alan Yu and regional cuisine. Located on the former Xiling Hotel site, Shangri-La first opened in Hangzhou in 1984.

Barceló expands in Portugal with Occidental Faro Hotel

Mandarin Oriental to manage San Clemente Palace Hotel in Venice
