The Hoxton opens in Edinburgh

🏨 The Hoxton opened its first Scottish hotel in Edinburgh's West End, boasting 214 rooms across 11 Georgian-inspired townhouses on Grosvenor Street. The hotel offers a trattoria-style restaurant, a 300-square-meter events space, and a five-seater screening room. Rooms are categorized into nine types, with Houses accommodating up to seven guests. The hotel, located near Haymarket Station, features amenities like a lobby bar, Hox Gallery, and The Hoxton’s Best Of shop, plus bike rentals and local yoga offers.

Radisson RED to debut in Central London

🏘️ Radisson RED will open a new hotel in central London near Tower Bridge and the Tower of London by 2029, featuring 182 rooms and sustainable design targeting a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification. This expansion is part of PPHE’s strategy to increase their London presence and Radisson RED's focus on sustainability. The project replaces two old office buildings and is part of broader UK expansions including Liverpool, Twickenham, Birmingham, and Galway.

🌴 Northumberland's The Doxford Group unveils four luxury yurts at The Tempus, offering glamping experiences from June 26, 2025, starting at £135 per night. Located in the Northumberland countryside, the yurts are dog-friendly and cater to romantic retreats or peaceful getaways. The Tempus, which opened in May 2023, features 48 rooms and can accommodate up to 100 guests. A new children's playpark opens on June 7, enhancing family-friendly offerings.

The Gambia is getting its first global-branded hotel and it’s coming under a Wyndham flag

🏨 G Wellness Company Limited, a subsidiary of MP Trading Group, will partner with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to launch the first internationally branded resort in Banjul, The Gambia, under the Ramada by Wyndham brand. The resort, opening mid-2026 in Kotu, will include 65 guestrooms and various amenities. Announced at the Future Hospitality Summit Africa in Cape Town, the project aligns with The Gambia's tourism expansion, which saw over 620,000 visitors in 2019.

Coury Hospitality assuming management of Hard Rock San Diego

🏨 Coury Hospitality will manage the 420-room Hard Rock Hotel San Diego starting July 1, located in the Gaslamp Quarter. The hotel offers 40,000 sq ft of event space, 17 Rock Star Suites, a rooftop pool, and three dining outlets. A transformational renovation is planned for 2026. New Coury-managed properties include AC Hotel Bentonville, Arkansas, and the upcoming Seahaus Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Coury now manages eleven properties in California.

Novotel Victoria Falls to open in 2028

🌍 Accor will open Novotel Victoria Falls, a 111-room hotel in 2028, at Eagle Heights, overlooking the Masuwe River in Zimbabwe. Announced at the Future Hospitality Summit Africa in Cape Town, the deal was made with Eagle Real Estate Investment Trust. The hotel will be located near the UNESCO site, Mosi-oa-Tunya. Facilities will include a pool, kids' club, and dining options. This marks Accor's entry into Zimbabwe, adding to their 590 Novotels globally.
