Sirrah has opened in New York City, serving a four-course menu centered around steak frites and branzino

🍳 Sirrah, a 120-seat restaurant, opened on July 15 in New York City’s Meatpacking District. Led by Ryan Harris and Phil Zelonky of September Hospitality, it offers a four-course menu for $75, focusing on steak-frites. With consulting chef Cody Pruitt, it features a maximalist design with two bars and a private dining room. Guests choose from entrées like hangar steak or branzino, complemented by sauces and sides. An extra 28-ounce steak is available for $25 per person.

Starr Restaurants return to Atlantic City with two venues at Ocean Casino Resort

🍴 Stephen Starr’s restaurant group returned to Atlantic City, N.J., opening two new concepts at Ocean Casino Resort last week after exiting in 2020. Located on the lobby level, Sunny’s offers a menu with prices from $16 to $29, while Chez Frites provides a prix-fixe menu at $49-$56. Starr Restaurants, based in Philadelphia, operates 40 venues across several major cities and previously closed its Atlantic City outpost in 2020.

Flamant, a European live-fire cocktail bar and bistro, is now open in Plano, Texas

🍽 Walkabout Hospitality Group opened Flamant, a European bistro and cocktail bar, on June 10 at Granite Park, Plano, Texas. It seats 52 indoors and 68 on the patio. This marks the third concept after Rye and Apothecary in Dallas. Flamant features a menu by Tanner Agar and chef Taylor Rause, with items like “faux gras” and a wood-fired wagyu burger. The bar is open until 1 a.m on weekends, showcasing creative cocktails like the Octopus’ Garden.

[UPDATE] TRIBE steps up its expansion in France and Europe

🏨 TRIBE plans to open over 40 hotels in the next five years, with 75% in Europe. Notable openings include TRIBE Paris Clichy (120 rooms) and TRIBE Paris Pantin (131 rooms). TRIBE Budapest Stadium (166 rooms) and TRIBE Riga City Centre (81 rooms) also feature in their expansion. TRIBE Paris Pantin aims for Green Key certification. Founded in 2017 in Australia, the brand is known for stylish, affordable hotels with social hubs and modern amenities.

Hello Hello bar-café opens in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood

🍹 Luis Hernandez, Brendan Bartley, and Robert Nieves opened Hello Hello on July 9 in New York City's Chelsea. The venue offers a café by day and a cocktail bar by night at 151 W 26th St. Drinks are priced at $18 and under. Café hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and bar hours are 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. or 2 a.m. DJs play Thursday-Saturday. Designed by West Chin Architects, it features a 1970s-inspired decor.
