📍 Aiden, a boutique hotel brand by BWH Hotels, is expanding globally with recent openings in 2026: Velbert, Germany (January); Bangkok, Thailand (May); Sacramento, USA (May); Kansas City, USA (June). Upcoming projects include Denver, Tempe, Toronto Airport (Fall 2026), and Pullman (Summer 2027). Each hotel reflects local culture, offering unique designs and experiences. Notable features include a rooftop destination in Denver and a jazz-inspired lounge in Toronto. The Toronto opening also marks Aiden's Canadian debut.

🏨 Will Rudd's engineering firm has topped out a nine-storey extension at Edinburgh's Caledonian Hotel, a Category A-listed building. This project, completed in August 2026, will add 96 rooms, increasing capacity by 30%. The complex build involved deep piled foundations and light gauge steel framing over constrained sites, including a historic brick sewer. It is part of three city-centre hospitality projects in Edinburgh, including a 60-room apart-hotel and a 24-bed extension at 71 George Street.
