🏨 Wellbrook Hospitality rebranded Ambassadors Bloomsbury to The Memoir Club in May 2025. Located on Upper Woburn Place, the hotel features 100 rooms. The £7 million redesign by ICA Studio includes Apple TV, Nespresso machines, and eco-friendly amenities. The Adeline Restaurant serves Eastern-Mediterranean cuisine and cocktails inspired by Bloomsbury figures. Event spaces accommodate 300 guests for receptions or 264 for conferences. General Manager George Konstas highlights the blend of culture and innovation.

Hyatt Regency Zadar marks the group’s arrival in Croatia

A Taste Of Bombay, A Stay In History: Design Revealed For Permit Room Portobello Restaurant And Lodgings

🏠 Permit Room, part of Dishoom, opened its first lodgings in May 2025 at 186 Portobello Rd, London. Housed in the historic Colville Hotel, originally from the mid-1860s, it features a 70-cover bar cafe, a 44-seat dining room, and two guest bedrooms. The venue, designed by Macaulay Sinclair, blends Bombay's bar culture with Victorian elements. More than 30 art pieces by South Asian artists enrich the space, led by Laura Newstead.

Scotland-based restaurant concept Fish Shop opens its first outpost in Washington, D.C.

A second location opened in Washington, D.C., on April 29, seating 180 inside with additional terrace seating and three private rooms for 10, 12, and 24 guests. The restaurant emphasizes fresh, ethically sourced seafood and sustainability in both menu and design. The D.C. location's menu is tailored to Mid-Atlantic seasonal availability, with a fish preparation room, and uses locally sourced meat and vegetables.

IHG strikes deal for first Even Hotel in Middle East

🏦 IHG Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement for Even Hotel Dammam, set to open in 2029—the first Even brand in the Middle East, situated in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The 300-room hotel, developed in partnership with Marassi Al Bahr Development Company (Al Khaldi Holding), will be at the King Abdullah Civic Center. Even Hotels launched in 2012, offering wellness zones and has 37 hotels globally, with 13 in Mainland China. Even Hotel Dammam will feature biophilic design, wellness zones, Athletic Studio, Soul Studio, and a spa, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. IHG manages 45 hotels and plans 47 more in Saudi Arabia within 3-5 years.

Wyndham to supersize Super 8 in Saudi Arabia

🏖️ Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Le Park Concord to develop 100 Super 8 hotels across Saudi Arabia over 10 years, beginning in 2026. This initiative, aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aims to address the rising demand for budget-friendly accommodations as the country welcomed 30 million international visitors in 2024, a 9.5% increase from 2023. Future hotels will be located along major highways and cities like Riyadh, Jeddah, and Makkah.
