🏝 Marriott International and The Reef Resorts & Spa are set to convert three Playa del Carmen resorts into the Tribute Portfolio Collection by 2027, adding 676 rooms. Renovations start in late 2026. The Reef Playacar, The Reef 28, and The Reef Coco will undergo changes, with The Reef Coco expanding to 358 rooms by 2028. Tribute Portfolio has 10 properties with 1,350 rooms and plans to double by 2027. The resorts will accommodate 900 attendees for events.

🏨 Colwen Hotels has introduced the first hotel in Portland’s Thompson’s Point district: the dual-branded Residence Inn and Moxy Hotel. Opened in Portland, Maine, the five-story property offers 148 guestrooms. Residence Inn features 70 suites with kitchens for extended stays, while Moxy provides 78 tech-integrated rooms. Located near Portland Transportation Center and three miles from downtown, amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center, and Bar Moxy with local craft beers.

🍔 In 2023, the Martin Brudnizki-designed Broadwick Soho hotel in London opened at Broadwick Street and Berwick Street. Beefbar, founded in Monte Carlo in 2005 by Riccardo Giraudi, will open its UK flagship there, replacing Dear Jackie on 10 September 2026. This Soho location will feature an updated terrace and menu with Kobe, Wagyu, and London-specific dishes like Wagyu shepherd’s pie. The hotel is located at 20 Broadwick St, London W1F 8HT.

🏨 Valor Hospitality Partners expands to the West Coast by managing The Monsaraz, a 92-room hotel in San Diego's Point Loma. Opened in 2021, it's the first new hotel in the area in over a decade. This deal marks Valor's tenth U.S. acquisition this month. The hotel features Portuguese-themed design and cuisine at its Unico restaurant, supported by SAVOR by Valor. Valor operates in 75 cities across 26 countries, with more than 100 projects globally.

🏨 Viceroy Hotels & Residences is set to open Viceroy Park Avenue in December in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood. The hotel features 252 rooms, including four presidential suites, and over 15,000 square feet of event space. Meyer Davis designed the interiors, while Tao Group oversees dining with a ground-floor restaurant and a rooftop bar. Wellness amenities include a spa, fitness center, and a 2,100-square-foot Wellness Penthouse, offering in-room recovery technology.

🏨 SREE Hotels has acquired the 130-room Hyatt Place Columbia/Downtown/The Vista in Columbia, South Carolina, managed by General Manager Andrew Soltau. Located in Columbia's vibrant arts district, the six-story hotel offers access to the University of South Carolina and several city attractions. Guests enjoy amenities like a complimentary breakfast bar, a 24-hour fitness center, and 2,050 square feet of meeting space. SREE Hotels' CEO Parag Patel expressed confidence in Columbia's growth and market resilience.

🏨 In 2021, The Monsaraz opened in Point Loma, marking the first new hotel in over a decade. Valor Hospitality will now manage this boutique property, including its food and beverage operations. Valor, with a presence in 75 cities across 26 countries, is expanding its portfolio, focusing on California and the Western U.S. The Monsaraz's design reflects the area's Portuguese fishing heritage, and its restaurant, Unico, offers Portuguese-inspired cuisine. Valor's team includes over 100 hospitality projects globally.

🏨 Kimpton Fitzroy London, a Bloomsbury hotel, has redesigned its ground floor, including spaces like the Lobby, Fitz’s Brasserie, and The Parlour, drawing on 19th-century heritage and Art Deco influences. Interior designer Emily Gunning led the project. The renovation introduces new furniture and a 24/7 food and beverage service, offering a mix of small plates, cream tea, coffee, wine, and cocktails. The redesign aims to create flexible spaces for work, relaxation, and socializing.

🏖 Hampton Inn & Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront completed a major renovation in August 2026 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The renovations include new dining options with three new restaurant concepts and enhanced amenities. Whitecaps Sweets & Treats, Reel Food & Drinks, and Flipside Pizza offer diverse culinary choices. The resort also features two oceanfront lazy rivers, multiple pools, hot tubs, and a children's water play area, enhancing the family-friendly, oceanfront experience.
