🏨 Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India's largest hospitality firm, announced the opening of Avantika by the Ganges - IHCL SeleQtions in Varanasi. Located on the banks of Kashi, it features 43 rooms with views of the Ganges, near Kashi Vishwanath and Kaal Bhairav temples. The hotel offers an all-vegetarian restaurant, Dhanushkoti, using locally-sourced ingredients, along with a fitness center, spa, and salon. The address is 9 & 102, Ram Ghat, Kotwali, Varanasi, 221001, India.

🏨 Corinthia Rome, located in the historic Campo Marzio neighborhood, will open in February 2026. The luxury hotel, housed in the former headquarters of the Bank of Italy, spans 9,700 square meters over seven floors and offers 60 rooms, including 21 suites. Culinary offerings by Chef Carlo Cracco include two restaurants and a bar. The spa is set in the former bank's vault. This marks Corinthia's debut in Italy, following expansions in New York, Brussels, and Bucharest.

🏨 Whitbread secures planning for a 421-room Premier Inn hub at Dorset House, Southwark. Acquired in May 2025, the 90,000 sq ft site will open in summer 2028. This marks Whitbread’s fourth Central London conversion in 2025, adding nearly 1,000 rooms. Investments exceed £100m, with aims for renewable energy use. Construction starts in the second half of 2026. Whitbread targets 125,000 UK rooms, with London housing 18% of its 86,000-room estate.

🏖️ Hilton announced the AMARIS Grace Bay, part of LXR Hotels & Resorts, debuting in 2028 at Grace Bay Beach, Turks & Caicos. With 170 rooms, including residences, this luxury resort will feature two specialty restaurants, a spa, and a 970-square-foot event space. Hilton is expanding in the Caribbean and Latin America, with nearly 300 hotels and 160 in the pipeline, including luxury brands like Waldorf Astoria and Conrad, aiming to double their presence.

🏨 Roshan and Srishankar have acquired The Lion Hotel and Restaurant, a 17th Century property in Berriew, Montgomeryshire, Wales. Former operators, sculptor Andrew Logan and Michael Davis, launched it in 2018 as a boutique hotel with seven en suite bedrooms and three dining rooms. After eight years, they are stepping back. The new operators aim to highlight hospitality and Welsh produce, positioning it as a destination restaurant and hotel. The sale was managed by Christie and Co's James Dodd.

Located in one of Europe's limited and prestigious alpine markets, the development addresses supply scarcity while tapping into the area's destination value.
