🏨 Entrepreneurs Louis Blake and Harrison Hide plan to open the UK's first fully alcohol-free hotel in West Sussex's South Downs National Park in 2026. The 30-bedroom Long Lane hotel, originally set for mid-2026, has faced delays due to complex development challenges. Spanning a 55-acre estate near Midhurst, it features personalized wellness programs and facilities like cryotherapy and natural swimming. Targeting “dry tourism,” the hotel appeals to younger health-conscious travelers.

🏨 Collector’s Hall at AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow has hosted 10,478 guests across 242 events over the past year inside the restored former Glasgow Parish Council headquarters. The venue, constructed in 1902, witnessed 20 weddings, 203 corporate events, and more. Upcoming bookings for 2027 include 77 weddings. The hall, part of the £100m Love Loan development, achieved over 5% profit ahead of forecast with the hotel selling 59,000 room nights.

🏨 The Hyatt Regency London Olympia, located at 7 Olympia Way, London, W14 0EY, is part of the £1.3 billion Olympia regeneration. Designed by Twenty2degrees, the hotel offers 204 rooms, including three suites. Originally a 1937 car park, it retains Joseph Emberton's modernist style. The hotel is near Kensington Palace and museums. Idalia, its restaurant, features Asian-European cuisine and is situated in the historic Pillar Hall. The hotel provides a fitness center and cozy public spaces for relaxation.

🏨 In 1993, UNESCO designated Menorca as a Biosphere Reserve. The 14-room Riviera Hotel, located in Ciutadella, Menorca, features a unique design by Ilmiodesign, inspired by the 1970s Italian Riviera. Rooms are categorized into Double Piccola, Double Deluxe, Junior Suite, and Suite Riviera, each with private outdoor spaces. The hotel offers Mediterranean-inspired dining and a rooftop wellness area with Pilates and massages. Its vibrant retro style and warm service make it a memorable experience.

☕ Magnolia Hotel Houston introduces Press & Pour, a coffee and cocktail bar, as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. Located in downtown Houston, the bar features handcrafted coffees, fresh-baked pastries, and signature cocktails like the smoked old fashioned. Opened last month, it seats 52 indoors and 10 outdoors. The bar pays homage to its building's history, formerly home to the Houston Post-Dispatch. A 1920s typewriter and vintage photos enhance its nostalgic ambiance.

📍 Rosen Hotels & Resorts is undergoing a $150 million renovation project of Rosen Plaza and Rosen Shingle Creek, the largest in its 52-year history. By 2026, 2,300 guestrooms, suites, and corridors will be redesigned, with Rosen Shingle Creek's upgrades concluding in 2027. The renovations will enhance modern design with Mediterranean Revival influences, including next-gen WiFi and smart-room tech. This project aims to elevate guest experience and honor the legacy of founder Harris Rosen.

🏨 First Hospitality has taken over management of five hotels: Sky Rock Sedona (109 rooms, Sedona, AZ), The Steward Santa Barbara (87 suites, Santa Barbara, CA), Hotel Northland (160 rooms, Green Bay, WI), Hotel Elkhart (93 rooms, Elkhart, IN), and Le Méridien St. Louis Downtown (96 rooms, St. Louis, MO). These additions broaden First Hospitality’s footprint into new markets. The properties offer various amenities, including event spaces, dining options, and wellness programs.

🏨 In Washington, D.C., the Potomac Hotel, Autograph Collection, opened with 373 rooms, managed by Pyramid Global Hospitality. Formerly Salamander Washington DC, it offers 38,000 sq. ft. of event space, a dual-level spa, and chef Kwame Onwuachi's Afro-Caribbean restaurant, Dōgon. Acquired by Henderson Park in 2022, the hotel is near key landmarks and 15 minutes from Reagan National Airport. Marriott's Autograph Collection adds global reach, while Sheila Johnson stays a minority partner.

🚴 Pennyhill Park in Surrey is launching the UK's largest Reformer Pilates studio in a hotel this autumn. Designed with Sparcstudio, it addresses the rising demand for mindful fitness. Featuring Technogym equipment, it offers classes for all skill levels. This development boosts Pennyhill Park’s wellness reputation, which already includes a renowned spa and diverse fitness options. The exact opening date and schedule are pending. In summer 2023, they opened a new wedding venue, and in January 2025, they partnered with 292 Performance.

🏠 Sonnel Hospitality has secured approvals for the $11 million redevelopment of Ashfield Hotel with new amenities and the $4 million revamp of Hurstville Ritz Hotel. These projects, approved in 2023, include new bars and beer gardens, responding to community needs while preserving heritage. This follows Sonnel's acquisitions and redevelopment plans, reflecting long-term investment in Sydney's hospitality landscape. Construction is expected to start by 2027, with the goal of maintaining community relevance for decades.
