🏠 Líbere Hospitality Group, founded in 2019 by John Uriarte, launched its brand in early 2020, amidst the pandemic. In December 2020, they opened a 120-apartment building in Vitoria, Spain, achieving over 95% occupancy despite the city's non-touristic nature. Uriarte's previous venture, Ticketbis, operated in 35 countries and was sold to eBay around 2016 for nearly €100 million. The group fills a market gap by offering flexible, digital accommodation solutions.

🏠 New York's Zero Bond opened a 15,000-square-foot members club at Wynn Las Vegas. Designed by Tihany Design and Todd-Avery Lenahan, it emphasizes culture and hospitality. The interiors feature rotating art exhibitions, including works by Ansel Adams and Camille Claudel. Dining includes the Fairway Grill by chef Alfred Portale. Amenities include a Baby Disco, Penthouse, and cigar lounge. Outdoor Sculpture Garden features art by Herb Alpert and Joan Miró. Two private gaming salons are also available.

🌴 Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Hawaii completed a full renovation of its 297 guestrooms in December 2025. The design, inspired by Hawaii Island’s natural beauty, features coastal hues, organic textures, and island-inspired artistry, including custom-crafted shoji screens and floral patterns. The resort, located near Kings’ Shops and Anaehoʻomalu Bay, aims to offer a guest experience that blends Hawaii's cultural heritage with contemporary design, enhancing its identity as a vibrant destination.

🏨 Pellicano Hotels is reopening three Italian properties in April. La Posta Vecchia, a 17th-century palazzo, reopens on April 1 with four new suites and an expanded beach club. Hotel Il Pellicano and Mezzatorre Hotel and Thermal Spa both open on April 2, with 23 and 16 refurbished rooms respectively. The Il Dolce Far Bene program, focusing on energy efficiency, continues. CEO Marie-Louise Sciò hints at more initiatives for the 2026 season.

📅 Aloft Tampa Downtown, located in downtown Tampa, completed a $5-million renovation, led by Studio 11 Design, enhancing guestrooms, public areas, and social spaces. The renovation, announced by Newbond Holdings and HEI Hotels & Resorts, includes upgraded amenities and technology, reflecting Tampa's growing appeal for business and leisure. Public areas now provide open, social environments in line with the Aloft brand. The hotel remains near key attractions like Tampa’s Riverwalk and the Tampa Convention Center.

🍹 Detroit, 2026: Saksey’s lounge opens in downtown Detroit's Parker’s Alley, a collaboration between NoHo Hospitality Group and the Gilbert family. The venue combines 1970s nostalgia with modern craft, featuring regional craftsmanship and local art. Interior architect Daniel Caudill blends Detroit’s past and present with dark cherry wood, green velvet, and vintage lounge pieces. Custom elements include furniture by Slowhouse Furniture, lighting by Britten Home, and a bespoke bar by Studio XC.

🏠 London, 2026: A-nrd redesigns Anise bar at Cinnamon Kitchen, Devonshire Square, originally an East India Trading warehouse. The 60-seat venue includes a monolithic bar with 24 stools in tarragon leather and a new oak countertop. The redesign features spice-inspired materials: dark oak, velvet, and terrazzo. A-nrd incorporates personal elements like Indian ceramic figurines. Chef Vivek Singh's vision, realized by A-nrd founder Alessio Nardi, aims for an intimate, inviting space without excessive design.

🏖 Red Cliffs Lodge Moab on the Colorado River completed a redesign over the past year, led by Sormeh Rienne and Atwater Inc. Studio. The property features 40 creekside and 39 riverfront suites, with a final renovation phase of 31 cabins set for completion this month. The lodge includes floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the landscape and a new restaurant, Ember. The renovations emphasize natural materials and are designed to reflect the area's rugged beauty.

🏨 BH Group, last year, acquired the Ship and Castle Hotel in St Mawes, Cornwall, initiating a major redesign and rebranding project. The hotel, supporting 75 jobs, will feature 56 bedrooms, a spa, and dining facilities. Sureflow won the renovation contract. Reopening is planned for summer 2026, with full operations by early autumn. BH Group's prior £7.5m Falmouth project reflects its regional expansion strategy.

🏨 Corinthia Rome opened at Piazza del Parlamento, debuting Corinthia Hotels in Italy. Set in a historic palazzo once linked to the Bank of Italy, the 9,700-square-meter hotel offers 60 rooms, including penthouses and a spa. Near key landmarks, it's owned by Reuben Brothers and designed by Pio and Marcello Piacentini. Rooms start at €1,300, suites at €2,100. An Easter package is available from April 1-12, 2026. Chef Carlo Cracco oversees dining at Viride and Ocra Bar.
