Formerly Hotel Armitage, this 80-room property is undergoing a multi-million-dollar refurbishment. The opening signifies Accor's confidence in Tauranga, where tourism earnings rose by 5% last summer. This is the first internationally branded hotel in the city, enhancing Accor's partnership with Prime Hotels. Mercure plans further upgrades to attract corporate and leisure visitors.
