🍴 Christine Magrann appointed as president and COO of FB Society's Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar (12 units) and Mexican Sugar (4 units). FB Society, based in Dallas, also owns Haywire and The Ranch restaurants. Magrann previously led Makeready's hotel and restaurant portfolio, including The Adolphus in Dallas and The Halcyon in Denver. She joins FB Society's executive team with CFO Brad Leist and others. FB Society also manages Son of a Butcher, Legacy Food Hall, and Assembly Hall.

Iconic Luxury Hotels to open Gran Marbella Resort and Beach Club

🏖 Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club, part of Iconic Luxury Hotels, opens this spring in Playa del Real de Zaragoza, Spain. The resort offers 125 rooms, 10 signature suites, private pools, jacuzzis, and coastal views. Amenities include two event spaces, a seafood restaurant, a spa with seven treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, and an indoor pool. Goddard Littlefair is responsible for interiors and architecture. The resort is the ninth addition to the Iconic Luxury Hotels collection, following Palm House in Palm Beach, Florida. Executive director Andrew Stembridge highlights the strategic expansion, while senior vice president Francisco Macedo mentions the significance of the launch after Hotel Excelsior in Venice.

New Executive Chef Ushers In New Dawn For Naunton Downs

🍴 Matthew Aldred, with 15 years of experience including a Michelin-starred restaurant, is appointed as the new executive chef at The Naunton Downs Estate, a luxury golf club in Cheltenham. A new menu focusing on seasonal local produce will debut during Cheltenham Festival Week, from 11-14 March, featuring dishes like treacle bread with miso butter and tomahawk steak. Additionally, a new Sunday lunch and regular lunch menu have been introduced. The estate will extend its food service hours from 8.00am until late during Cheltenham Week.
