Brookfield will acquire a majority stake in Domes Zeen Chania and invest over €40 million in the expansion. Domes Zeen Chania is part of Marriott's Luxury Collection and won the World's Leading Leisure Resort 2025. Brookfield manages over $50 billion of assets in Europe, marking its first Greek hospitality investment.

📍 7 Hospitality Management will operate Delta Hotels by Marriott in central Birmingham, UK, adding to its portfolio. The hotel offers contemporary accommodation and event facilities for corporate and leisure guests. Announced before mid-August 2025, this move highlights Birmingham's significance in business and leisure sectors. 7 Hospitality Management, described as brand-agnostic, aims for long-term partnerships with global brands, focusing on performance and guest experiences.

🏨 Moddershall Oaks, celebrating its 25th anniversary, plans a £4 million investment in 2026 for expansion in Staffordshire. The spa and wellness retreat, located on a 72-acre site, has grown from a family-owned business to welcoming over 100,000 guests annually and employing over 140 people. In the past five years, £3 million has been invested in facilities. New Woodland Pods will be introduced, part of long-term plans for further retreat spaces and facility enhancements.

📈 South Korea's Meritz Securities and Josun Hotels acquired two hotels with UK-based PAM for KRW2.9 trillion and KRW50 billion, aiming for a third hotel by 2026. The hotels opened in 2020. Taiwan's Lin family purchased Australia's Paradise Centre for AUD370 million. Tang Shing-bor's family sold Hong Kong's Hotel COZi Oasis for HKD950 million. An investor acquired Quest Ipswich in Australia for AUD14.2 million. Singapore's URA launched a Telok Ayer hotel site tender for potential 440 rooms.

🏨 JLL Capital Markets arranged refinancing for Huntington Hotel Group's 350-key hotel portfolio at Liberty Station, San Diego. The package includes a senior loan from BMO Bank N.A. and a mezzanine loan from MetLife Investment Management. The complex features a 200-room Courtyard by Marriott and a 150-room Homewood Suites by Hilton. Located 2.5 miles from San Diego International Airport, the properties include extensive amenities and meeting spaces, benefiting from proximity to corporate and government facilities.

🏨 €250 million refinancing from Aareal Bank in 2025 supports InterGlobe's hotel brand Miiro's expansion. Miiro operates nine hotels across Europe and launched properties in Paris and Barcelona in 2024, followed by London in 2025. Two Vienna hotels, renovated with one opening in November 2025 and another set for early 2026, are part of the strategy to reposition former K+K properties and scale as a boutique lifestyle brand.

💸 Three investment groups—Gencom, Argent Ventures, and Highgate—acquired the InterContinental New York Times Square, a 607-room, 34-story hotel, for $230 million, or approximately $379,000 per room. The sale involved a $190-million loan from Monroe Capital. The hotel, opened in July 2010, features 20,000 square feet of meeting space and plans for renovations. Highgate will manage the hotel under a franchise agreement, and Eastdil Secured facilitated the transaction.

📈 Noble Investment Group acquired a 35-asset portfolio of Sonesta Simply Suites, featuring over 4,000 rooms in 19 states and 25 markets. This strategic acquisition aims to enhance performance with operational improvements and deliver stable growth. Over the past year, Noble has invested in more than 100 assets across 62 markets, focusing on areas with consistent demand and liquidity to ensure strong cash flow and value creation. Seyfarth Shaw's hospitality group advised Noble in this transaction.

🏨 Irvine, California—DKN Hotels acquired the Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Sorrento Mesa/Sorrento Valley in San Diego. Renovations, planned with PK Architects, Gensler, and MJS Landscaping, will begin in Q2 2026. The 150-suite hotel is 20 minutes from downtown San Diego and 16 miles from San Diego International Airport. Amenities include an outdoor pool, 24/7 fitness center, 698 sq ft of meeting space, and a complimentary breakfast buffet.

🏨 Sukhi Gidar, CEO of Gold Care Homes, is acquiring the 382-room Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor with an £18.2m loan from OakNorth. Located between Heathrow Airport and Windsor, this hotel caters to corporate and leisure guests with modern amenities, including 19 event rooms for up to 400. The property was recently refurbished, and strong 2025 passenger forecasts at Heathrow Airport are expected to boost demand for accommodations in the area.
