Iran Conflict Costs Indian Hotels Company Up to INR 1 Billion in Lost Revenue Due to Cancellations

💸 Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) reported a loss up to INR 1 billion ($10.5 million) due to the Iran war, primarily from last-minute cancellations and event rescheduling. CFO Ankur Dalwani detailed losses of INR 400-500 million ($4.2-$5.25 million) at the consolidated level. The losses severely impacted the fourth quarter and early April. Despite this, CEO Puneet Chhatwal noted a return to strong growth by mid-April. Dubai emerged as a key transit hub affected by these developments.

U.S. Hotel Industry Revenue Rises 3.8% in Q1 2026 Despite Geopolitical and Economic Challenges, Reports LWHA.

JLL Arranges $835 Million Sale and $690 Million Financing for JW Marriott Marco Island Resort in Florida

Acquired by Sculptor Real Estate and Trinity Investments, the resort features more than 140,000 square feet of event space, 12 dining venues, and two golf courses. Barings previously owned the resort, completing a $320 million renovation in 2018. Financing was secured through a five-year loan from Wells Fargo and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Marriott Reports Q1 2026 Results: RevPAR Up 4.2%, Adjusted EBITDA Reaches $1.398 Billion, Net Rooms Grow 5%

Marriott repurchased 2.1 million shares for $0.7 billion. Total debt stood at $16.5 billion, with $0.5 billion in cash.
