Hospitable brings cleaning operations and payments into core platform with launch of Tasks

Hosts can now manage communication, task tracking, and payments for cleaners and service teams directly inside Hospitable

SAN FRANCISCO, 5 MARCH 2026 – Property management software Hospitable has launched Hospitable Tasks, expanding its operations capabilities to allow hosts and property managers to manage communication, task tracking, and payments for cleaners and service teams directly inside the platform.

Hosts and managers can now coordinate cleaners, maintenance technicians, pool service providers, landscapers, inspectors, and other recurring or one-off service professionals without relying on fragmented tools.

The launch marks the next phase in Hospitable’s operational expansion following the introduction of its built-in Cleaner Marketplace last year. While the marketplace focused on helping hosts source vetted cleaners, the Tasks app brings existing teams into a single, centralized workflow.

By consolidating communication, task verification, and payments into a single workflow, Hospitable removes friction between hosts and the teams supporting their properties.

Hosts and service providers can now communicate directly within the platform, replacing fragmented text messages and emails with time-stamped, centralized messaging. Automated reminders prevent missed jobs, while real-time status updates allow service teams to mark tasks as on the way, in progress, or complete, giving hosts immediate visibility without manual follow-up.

Each task includes structured checklists and photo uploads, creating documented proof of completion stored in the host inbox. The result is a transparent, auditable record of work performed and stronger operational accountability.

The launch also introduces optional automated payouts. Once a task is marked complete, payment can be triggered automatically, with a 24-hour review window before funds are released. By embedding payouts into the same system as communication and task tracking, Hospitable reduces delays, cuts administrative overhead, and eliminates the need for separate payment tools.

The update comes as operational reliability remains a significant pressure point across the short-term rental sector. Recent industry research from Hospitable found that 34.3% of hosts and property managers reported losing bookings or receiving negative reviews in 2025 due to staffing issues.

Contractor reliability and cleaning consistency continue to directly affect guest satisfaction and revenue.

Pierre-Camille Hamana, CEO and Founder of Hospitable, said: “Operational consistency is critical in short-term rentals. Hosts rely on people on the ground to deliver the guest experience, but too often that coordination happens across disconnected tools and informal communication channels. Now, communication, task tracking, and payments happen in one system, creating a clear record of what was done and when, and making expectations transparent on both sides.

“When we launched Cleaner Marketplace, we focused on helping hosts find reliable cleaners. This is the next step. It completes the operational loop by bringing existing teams into the platform, so sourcing, coordination, accountability, and payment are no longer separate processes.”

Payment functionality is currently available for US-based properties, and the Hospitable Tasks app is offered in both English and Spanish. Hosts receive one free payment per property each month, after which payouts are processed at a 1.5% fee per clean, capped at $5. Payment processing fees are waived until May 1.

Launched in 2016 as a time-saving PMS, Hospitable has evolved into a short-term rental super app that goes beyond traditional property management – automating guest messaging with AI, optimizing nightly rates, managing rental agreements and security deposits, coordinating teams, and powering direct booking websites with built-in payments and property protection.
