eviivo launches Device Manager to centralise smart lock and access control for short-term rentals and hotels

LONDON, 23 April, 2026 — eviivo, the all-in-one property management system (PMS) provider for short-term rentals and hotels, has launched Device Manager, a new module within eviivo Suite that centralises smart lock and property access management into the same platform as bookings, payments and distribution.

Device Manager supports hundreds of smart lock models from major manufacturers, giving operators a single place to connect hardware, automate access codes and monitor lock status across individual properties or entire portfolios. Through third-party integrations, it also supports other guest access methods, including key cards and mobile keys.

This new module removes the operational friction of separate lock apps, manual code creation and disconnected check-in workflows.

Simplifying access and check-in with one platform

With Device Manager, operators can connect, manage, and remove smart locks directly within eviivo Suite. Once a lock is mapped to a unit, a unique access code is generated automatically for each confirmed booking and remains valid from check-in to check-out, with flexible rules to extend its validity for early arrivals or late departures.

Operators can also automate the delivery of access codes at the right stage of the guest journey, whether after a paid deposit, a signed rental agreement, or another booking milestone. Powered by scheduled communications in eviivo’s Guest Manager, this gives operators greater control while enabling a fully contactless check-in experience.

Key capabilities include managing mixed-brand smart lock setups across one or multiple properties from a single platform, with secure access codes generated automatically at booking and expiring after check-out. A centralised device dashboard provides real-time visibility into lock status, battery levels, connectivity and inventory mapping, while remote lock control allows operators to update codes or unlock doors instantly to resolve issues. Support for multi-door access and role-based codes for cleaning and maintenance teams further reduces manual effort and helps operations run smoothly.

Built for scale and smoother guest arrivals

Device Manager is designed for hospitality businesses of all sizes, from single properties to large portfolios. It provides a simpler way to scale property operations securely and guest arrivals without adding another standalone system,  while enabling operators to retain existing hardware and connect multiple lock brands without being tied to a single manufacturer.

Future phases of Device Manager will extend centralised control further by adding support for other connected devices, including thermostats.

Jesal Karavadra, Owner of Relax Inn – Thorpe Lodge Hotel, said: “Having access codes generated automatically within a single platform has made guest communication a lot easier. There’s no longer a need to log in to a lock manufacturer’s app, as locks, codes, and access are all managed in one place.”

Adam Buckmaster, Director of Product Marketing at eviivo, said: “Access management has long been fragmented, with hospitality operators juggling separate apps and manually sending codes and check-in instructions. With Device Manager, we’re bringing smart lock control directly into eviivo Suite so property managers can automate access, monitor every door, and manage guest arrivals from a single place. The result is faster check-in, less manual work and a smoother, more reliable experience for guests at scale.”
